Mass Effect Devs bought by EA!

Not saying their games are bad. Even though most aren't all that great. I just hate their "MUST BUY OUT EVERYONE LOL" attitude towards other developers.
 
I like that they just sit in the back, make their games and shut the fuck up. Anywhere there's a user-base, they will put an effort in to deliver a game to them. They don't whine, or complain, they just do.

So long as they let the companies they buy out continue to do what they do, the consumers won't feel a thing.
 
Where is any talk of the trilogy going to multiple systems? Anyways i hate EA but have grown to just say wtf and keep moving as they continue to buy out everything. Also if Crysis fails i will blaim EA lol.

I used to love EA when they put out alot of good quality titles in their early years. Lately though, not so much. I could care less if they take good supposed to be exclusives like Mass Effect and move them to other platforms because they will do just that lol. It hurts the gaming industry though.



On a lighter note though, EA has pimp working enviroments. I would work at one of those companies. They have gyms, arcades, swimming pools on a couple of the floors, bedrooms, starbucks etc.....all in there OFFICES lol.
 
if all they did was take Mass Effect and ported it to others I'd get it :P I am not sure if it's coming to PC already or if it's just 360 only. Either way, it looks really fun. I just hope, if EA gets their hands on it, they'll fucking stay outta it. It's the only reason Maxis games are fairly decent.

QFT. I hate EA. Why must EA buy everything and proceed to suck at it...

I think the worst part about them is they make other developers titles skippable, but not their own title skippable. We know who they are for god sake!!!

I think the only (somewhat =/) decent games they make are...

I can't think of any. (I don't count sports titles as games, just dumb cash ins... except NFL... American Football rules.)

Am pretty sure MS owns rights to ME2 and ME3. In fact i remember countless times they said it. Dont think they will be moved to anything but PC. If for some reason EA is able to break that, well hell would it matter? Anyway if EA has anything to do with development from now on in ME games could we even say they would be worth playing lol... They would probably throw Agent Zero on the cover of ME2 and have 50Cent for theme music.
 
Yea... EA is good at making games that are exactly the same and as the last installment with a few new features added and or removed and some tweaks and stat updates. That means that games like madden which has been going for what... 20 years now are more or less in good shape. Not much original thought needs to go into that. Now something like mass effect, something that is going to be new and revolutionary, that does not fit their preconceived molds? I really don't have high hopes for the rest of the series. My guess is that EAs corporate bullshit mentality is going to drive away the Bioware team piece by piece and they are going to replace them with drones who will make a crappy game.

And note, Microsoft does NOT as in they DONT own rights to mass effect.

Mass Effect as well as Jade Empire, Neverwinter nights, dragon age, etc are all owned by Bioware, not like the halo Bungie thing.

There's honestly no way in hell it's staying Xbox 360 only with EA at the helm with IP ownership. I bet they do the same thing as Valve and let EA do the PS3 port. It was obviously going to come to PC too anyway.
 
It would take a nice PC to run Mass Effect. But yeah EA is known for a bunch of "ok" games and not too many great games. PS3 might see Mass Effect sometime in 08 now. Well thats ok , I believe everybody should experience the masterpiece that will be GOTY.
 
Have you played it yet Fire? You wont like it as much as you did Resistance. I am too into shooters so i like it no matter what but honestly its just a pretty looking game with EVERY other aspect being the same as the last 50 shooters.
