Mass Suicides

Hi all,

You probably have seen the mass suicides, but I was rather disburb by them. I saw two recently, one in front of the AH in South San D'Oria, and the other in front of the Mog house in Windy woods. They seem to be staged by rather high level players (they all had uber gear). I just don't get this thing. At what point in the game does the game become so boring that the only thing a group can do is to kill themselves together as an exhibit?

ive seen a couple of these at the lower jueno AH. notsure what to make of them.

im Lv 62 rdm and not bored yet

if you just concentrate on getting exp... it will get boring soon

go do some quests ( excluding the ones people do to raise fame )

work on craft ( i know some people who do more crafting that anything )

play other jobs too... ( ex: i play monk, a good change from being mage )

Lol sometimes you just need a little quirk to make your day and if taking part in becoming a pile of bodies is what makes your day then I say "Do It!!!" Hell When I feel I need something to make my LS laugh or even just to make some other people laugh I will run through sandy for 2 hours provoking and casting silence on all the mobs I see just to make some new adventurer or a ls member say "Holy f***!" or "LMFAO @ Daroth!!!"
I dont do it alot but it makes some people smile.

If you see alot of high level players dead near a MH stacked on one another, chances are they got killed in Dynamis, which is a high level alternate reality in the 4 nations where you fight IT++++++++ mobs inside the city.

That can happen rather quickly.
FFXI is not made to support large group activities. Once an LS has reached a certain average level, and a certain size, there is very little they can do together.

My LS did one in Front of S. Sandoria AH a while ago. We did it because we were bored and wanted to do something together. It was quite funny.

Another way they die n the town is chug a poison potion down ^^

I know Kurei's LS used to do the mass suicide thing in front of the lower Jeuno AH to draw attention to thier bazaars. They would load up on what they looted from the HNM's they just killed, set baazar and drink poison potions. Once dead, a large croud gathered (naturally) and they would usually end up selling allot of the items that way.
