Did anyone see this? Ron Paul raised some serious controversy when he put the rest of those crazy bastards in their place by using logic and facts. It's so funny (and frightening) when I hear the neo-cons go off about how we were attacked on 9/11 because radical Islam "hates our freedom." It's so absurd to assume that.

Faux News completely distorted what Ron Paul said by twisted his words to saying that we invited the attacks when all he wasn't saying that at all. He wasn't justifying the attacks. He was merely giving a real logical explanation as to why we were attacked and why we need to change our foreign policy.

Ron Paul was also winning the poll with 30% and eventually dropped to second place with 25% (Romney led with 29%). Good job Dr. Paul.

but i thought we attacked ourselves now im confused.

Seeing Giuliani twist Paul's words was bad enough, but hearing most of the candidate slate embrace the use of torture -- embracing fucking war crimes while the audience applauded --was beyond the pale and means they should be disqualified from running on the spot. Paul and McCain were the only ones against it.

Hearing Mitt "We need a person of faith leading this country" Romney saying he'd double the size of Gitmo was pathetic.

By the way, Busta... Andrew Sullivan has been very impressed by Ron Paul and has been cheering him on.

Both he and Ron Paul are libertarians so that's no surprise. That video on the page was nice. Nice quotes from the media and the 9/11 Commission Report that backs up what Dr. Paul was saying.

The only big thing I have against McCain is his stance on foreign policy and the "war on terror". The rest is insignificant in comparison.

I'm sure everyone heard on the news that Rosie equated our troops with terrorists. It seemed like a bit of a spin to me but she could have worded things much better. She's too dumb to get a legit point across without sounded like a complete bitch and jackass. Anyways, what the news doesn't tell you is that this was during a discussion about Dr. Ron Paul.

I agree that Ron Paul would make for a decent president, but not in our current situation. I have severe doubts in his ability to safely and successfully put an end to the Iraq war compared to McCain or Guiliani. Guiliani so far has the most to offer the nation in its current state. I've been listening to campaigning from all the forerunners of late (less so of Ron Paul because he gets much less coverage) and of all the ideas, Guiliani's seem the most possible. The rest have some grand ideas, but the level of realistic goals is low.

As someone who has grown up in CT, just a few hours drive from NYC, I've seen the huge impact Guiliani's leadership had on the city and even everywhere around it. My parents used to not want to take trips there because of how bad it was in NYC, so much so that I hadn't been there before I was in high school. Now when I go there, I feel almost safer walking around at night than I do in my home town.

Honestly I think that Ron Paul is a bit of an idealist in a realist's world. I hope that the Republicans put Guiliani for Pres and McCain for VP. It's the best I can see for the country in the next few years. We'd get the governing experience of Guiliani and the congressional experience of McCain.

One of my biggest reasonings for supporting Guiliani though is that he is not a largely religious guy. It was always one of my larger issues with the Republicans through the years, and why I'm a registered independent. I cannot stand the influence that religious groups have when making *constitutional* decisions. Their morals should not influence gay rights or abortion rights, and it's time that they were taken out of power. All I can say is without Falwell around, McCain doesn't stand a chance on his own.
