Well I have recently found myself in a tough predicament. First off about a month ago one of my roomates decided that some crystal meth and some other "crackhead" drugs would be cool to do.....the only problem with that is that I am 100% against that shit. (don't get me wrong I like to toke the reefer a bit but hey..) meth and that crap is another ball game with all sorts of runs of life that come with it. The Abuse was going on for quite a bit from what I understand he was just being sneaky about it. Like always you get caught. He started missing rent and becoming very undependable so......

I left along with my other roomate.

Well as of recent I am still trying to locate some property during what is considered a massive boom for our area.

I have dial-up atm til I establish a permanant residence again.

I just find it very hard to play with dial-up..I LAG like I have never lagged before and the ISP out here really sucks!

So...between trying to find a place and the issues with my PC I have been extremely limited on the amount of time I spend playing the game recently. I am trying to resolve this issue in a timely manner but some things just can't be rushed....

Over the next week or so I may be able to resolve some of this crap but until then I am no longer able to play to the point where I can make legitiment progress when I do log on.

Can't Party- my connection drops on a regular basis.

Can't NM hunt efficiently-Dial-up does put some delay on those pops but with my already bad NM luck I need not push it.

I think thats about it really once I take care of sum bidness I may be able to return if not looks like I may have to host the...

Oh man that sucks, I have been in a similar situation when I lived in Des Moines and one of my roommates took the summer off from work and decided to sit around (not really a whole lot of sitting) and do meth. Well glad you got the heck out of that situation and good luck getting your new place.
 
You should stick it out i think. Just temp deactivate your account and come back when you can ...
 
Dont leave!!!! and definately dont give away your stuff. you can tough it out.

I agree with Asiamise, don't give away your stuff, because when you come back to the game (you know you will... ^^) and you see you have no gil or items, you'll be like "Aww.. damn.." Keep in touch if possible on QCDN and when you return to the game there will be a big /welcome back to ya!

Hard stuff is just bad. That's why it's considered hard. You know, because it's not easy. Life is hard enough as is.

You may want to consider another dialup provider. I still use dialup (the only other option where I live is satellite, which is 100 bones per month) and only get about one disconnect per 24-hour period. I still get lag, but it's playable. All the work and love that you put into a character isnt worth tossing just like that.
 
You said you couldn't NM hunt or party...so just Farm, lol...

But don't quit man, that would be a total waste if you give it away, and then someday your like..."FF...XI..." and come back and be like "OMG IM POOR AGAIN ; ;"

If you lag so much you can't party/NM hunt, farm...think about it to, the whole time you just farm, farm, farm, farm, farm...(or craft craft craft...)

You will make a bizillion gil....You can buy like all the armor/weapons/anything you want! If your a paladin, you could buy the Koenig Armor!

Then when you do get a residence, and you get a faster connection, bam! you whip out your partying skillz, and with new toys to play with, and all the gil....*drool*

Don't quit, you will make too many unhappy...and we wont accept the stuff you give away...

come live in SF.. weed aint a drug. Cops dont care cause the revenue the canabis clubs bring in the cities helps a lot in a cash strapped year. And its all not really a problem.

Had many friends play with fire and got burnt getting hooked on a variety of things. Ive had to walk out on people ive known for years.. but you are definetely better being away.

Dont quit yet however like Asiamise said temp. deactivate till you finalize things. It'll work out 8)
 
heh, i like canada. Weed is no longer ilegal *woot*

but yeah, dont quit. and if you cant party or camp, farm/craft. use the time to make some moneyz
 
Maybe try another ISP. I had dialup for about 3 months till I got cable in, and the lag really wasn't much worse...

You should farm in the game (farming is far more interesting when you're smoking a lil anyway ;)) until you get shite figured out....I am sure it will all blow over soon, and you will find a rad new place w/ lots of sexy neighbors and the highest speed internet possible....hence becoming MOHOSO THE FFXI SEX GOD. ....lol :P then you will be a millionare having farmed for weeks on crappy dial-up.

Sounds like a good plan...right? ;)
