I have previously looked into that. Unfortunately the only software out there that would integrate with vBulletin (hivemail) is not being developed at this time. The domain is still up and running, but it seems like the devs headed for the mountains sometime in June and have not returned yet. Many think it will not be ported to the latest vBulletin ever.

I can manually set up email accounts as redirects, IMAP or POP, or even web mail. It's tedious to do it manually, and I certainly couldn't handle any kind of volume.

I am also considering such an email account to be part of the 'premium user' package that those who donate get. Will see how it all works out.

Why would you need an @qcdn.org e-mail? gmail and yahoo mail work fine and PM's always work, I don't see the point.

because my yahoo adress doesn't have "@qcdn.org" in it.

it's kinda like... [email protected], that's why I want it.

It's not really all that important, the only reason I even thought of it was because I was discussing old email addresses that I had used before. I used to be the proud owner of [email protected], then I grew up.

*necro*

How does it work... does it deliver the e-mail to your PM box? Or have a separate inbox?

I'd go for the mail to PM box idear myself, easier to manage... depending on ease of setup.

I believe there would be an additional interface that works like webmail elsewere (gmail, hotmail, whatever), but it is integrated into the board, so there would be a link that pulls up a webmail screen.

Email wouldn't count as PM, I do believe the two are separate.

Neither works for vB 3.5.x yet, though VBMS has a release date of Q1 2006.
