Put yourself in the leader's shoes. You have 5 people in a possible party of 6. You can't find the perfect person to fill the sixth spot, yet there are 2 people offering to do it that can pull it off. Do you call the whole damn thing off or kick one person?

I personally hate it when I get an invite to a party where the leader hasn't even done a /sea on the available people. Then you either wait for an hour or more, or the whole party crumbles. Whether I secure a tank first, or secure a main healer first, I secure both of those jobs before I begin filling out the party. Saving the tank for last is just asking for this sort of problem.

Ok In direct response to alanon's post.
I thought I made this clear but it was not me getting removed from the party that bothered me. I was the one who disbanded. The comment was just flat out rude. I would love to do the miniforks. But guess what I cant get a party without at lease some smns. And if I do its a noob party and pointless anyway.

If u think this is mean then there is a difficult road ahead of you 
i have MSN to lvl 30 in in all of those 20 off lvls xping in parties i was healer 98% of the time. So just having carby doesn't make much difference. besides in valk the only thing you can do with your avatars is MB and most pts in valk dont know what a SC is

first to the OP i understand your desire to have them when you start SMN but take it from me they are not needed until past 20 and you can do th emini battles ( these are hard but fun) BUT I will help you get the avatars you need if I am not working I love fighting primes
Gonna agree with others before 20 most of the avatars are not even useful you are usually the healer and even if you aren't you dont have the mp to keep an avatar out the entire fight.

ok heh main healing as summoner from level 1-22 fighting ITs... Cure I (You can have this.). Its really tough to main heal as smn before you get cure II and I think you guys are forgetting that.
Basically summoner from 10-22 is a backup healer and meleer with their avatars, so basically, a waste of a party slot, especially when you could have a red mage or a black mage to put in the summoners spot. It was a pain for me to level summoner from 10-22 because I couldn't main heal, all I could do was throw backup cures and barspells and -na spells if I needed to.
I however was lucky because I've all the avatars (minus Fenrir) since I was below level 10, so I could at least do something other than Carbuncle's poison nails heh.
For those of you that don't want to read my post here's the abridged version:
it is impractical to main heal as summoner with Cure 1 from 10-22.
