Meeze and the rest of the herd

Now What about all the money these other 9 make? They may get half of what they could have at Kirin by splitting it evenly, but there are 9 more out there now to camp regular NMs, which rarely take more than 3/mob.

Now if these 9 can make more money than half of what Kirin's drops are valued at. Then They come out way on top, and the amount of gil they sell to IGE will inrease, and they can be cut a larger check for a days work.

In the given time it takes to set up and slaughter Kirin, for 9 other GS to rake in 50 mil will be so rare, chances are it would never happen.

The GS have their routines, like mining and hunting things like Amemet and farming.

Good examples of items with higher value than Kirin drops were already listed previously. Its unlikely GS sell their Osode and I tend to see them wear them instead for increased effectiveness. If they do, then Kirin drops would be difficult to match in a day, but since its extremely unlikely for them to get in a Kirin fight each day, the other days more than make up for it.

In reguards to GS acting as individual contractors... Most work in small groups, and actually do pool their income for a combined sale. There are lots of little cells but it is very rare to find individual GS that have no affiliation with a small business. This is pretty common knowledge, as you kind find strang examples in recent posts by Lyrli [however its spelled] and others that commonly support RMT and interact with them. They pool the gil together and sell it all at once, then the business cuts them all checks for their share.

Once you underst
and how that works, it would be easy to see how other members of their group would easily become resentful towards one of their coworker's online friends if it were costing them money. Because of this, it would be illogical for any GS to participate in an act that would net them less gains, because it would likely affect their co workers, who would very quickly shun him and stop allowing the friend to come along. However if they benefit, and we are not actually doing harm to RMT through all this, they would completely embrace people willing to help them, as they already do.

The largest input RMT has is freelance. As for the sweat shop, each person who works there has to meet a quota, so long as they meet that quota they are free to go about it any way they please.

At 25 cents an hour, it's not the co-workers that would shun the GS who makes friends, i would assume.

In an ever changing MMORPG the manager of a sweat shop could be blind to the fact that fragmentation is occuring. He may notice an offset in the income. And do little about it cause everyone is making their share

From the common sense standpoint you like to bring up, they must be profitting from the interaction with others.

The Common sense standpoint you imagine i'm saying is different than what i had mentioned.

I spoke of gil staying in game, your making it sound like i was reffering to "serving GS for free" why is this stuck in your head ?

My personal interactions with GS, back in 2004:

- Me and 1 GS friend 1,000,000 G Damascene cloth mine for 400k because i changed my mind and wanted to collect them.

- 500k worth of Phantom Tathlum, One was givin to me as a gift from a GS friend. I replaced it with my bow and arrow and accidentally tossed it, another was given to me right away.

- Dodge earring given to me by a GS that knew me through some other GS.

- Tree cuttings, ruby's, and a list of other goodies that were given to me.

Off the top of my head there is an estimated 1.4M or so that stayed in game.
I never gave them anything i was leveling my craft. They never gave me a reason to hate them, and there was nothing i could do to help them.

-I speak of a solution, not how things are.

-This solution requires a widescale change within everyone (will not happen)

-I speak of what accells RMT, And to go against me on that of what i say, means you support RMT without even knowing it.

-I do not claim that the GS is a nice person, or any type of players in this case. I do assure you that i have on boath sides known a few who's friendship i do/did value.

-I don't care aout RMT. I am capable of making my own gil, and have no interest in buying gil.

- $300.oo USD for 50,000 Gil is a very tempting offer. It can also cost me my FFXI acount which i have come to love. So i don't do it.

- Many respected players often leave the game through RMT. I figured i'd mention that since i once got pelted my someone who actually ended up selling his account. Between he and i, i saved SE their Gil.

I'm finished now.
