I didn't read this entire thread, but speaking about some kind of HNM contest, I'll tell you right here and now.

I don't need to ask anyone to know the answer to this. if you were to devise some kind of contest based on killing window based HNM's, not a single one of the big HNM killing LS on this server would participate.

You realize most of the people in those shells hate this board and some even decline their members based on membership to here.

Nothing else is needed, the competition is the prize, not any 'reward'

I'm talking more about basic rules. Things get heated in discussions like that. Do we want to alleviate some rules and make things less harsh? Or do we want to make sure they don't get heated?

Read Tymon's post, because he's absolutely right. Most end-game related shells have no desire to ever be affiliated with qcdn. That was true two years ago when I quit, and I'm sure it's just as true now.

Screenshots must contain the kill as well as Timestamp immediately after.
Multiple killshots of mobs will result in half the value of the first. If odd numbers, the result will be to always round down. Multiple mobs will end in a maximum of 4 kills.

Point values will be as follows:
1 point: Vulpangue, Chamrosh, Cheese Hoarder, Brass Borer, Claret, Ob, Velionis, Lil Apkallu, Chigre

2 points: Iriz Ima, Iri Samiri, Lividroot, Anantaboga, Reacton, Dextrose, Zahreekl the Jubilant, Verdelet, Wulgaru

3 points: Armed Gears, Gotah, Dea, Nosferatu, Achamoth, Khromasoul, Mahjlaef, Experimental Lamia, Nuhn.

4 Points: Tyger, Tinnin, Sarameya

Pictures must be taken between the dates of August 15th and September 14th. In the event of a tie, the team to record each and every NM kill first will win the tiebreaker.

Is there a limit on the amount of NMs you can kill? If not, it poses a problem in that a LS that can duo/trio Brass Borer 4 times is tied with a premier shell killing Sarameya and etc

it could easily be proven that x ls was there with x drops but when one starts to lie and it's found out to be wrong then the event causes a lot of drama and would probrably drive the lses that considered the idea in the first place and keep possibly more away.

It takes more time to photoshop some of these than to kill them. In the future, maybe, but there are always witnesses to anything that's not a pop-item spawn. Things will self-regulate.

the scenario would be:

Linkshell A kills Brass Borer 15 times in a week, and gets 15 points.

Linkshell B is only able to kill Sarameya twice in a week, and only gets 8 points.

now, farming UP to sarameya would get you 6 points minimum, and possibly more, but it still seems far more effecient for someone to just spam pop the tier 1 mobs as many times as possible, to get higher point totals.

In summary, it's exploitable.

The max of 4 per mob comes into effect. You need variety to get points. Maybe I was misleading with my wording...but there's a cap of 4 kills per mob to earn points from that mob.

With mobs building into eachother, this should be happening anyway.

When I was originally banned, I was banned for something that I wrote a week or two before I was finally banned. My attack resulted in a bunch of the fan boy cock sucking (Except Miros!) crowd like Eli and Alyada. They would go around the boards derailing every thread, or jump in on derails made by Shyrra and other members of their LS, and make it about House or Scrubs, or ER, w/e the hell they watched. The mods were so frustrated with not being able to stick rules to me, that Neophytal (A guy who I was in an LS of his for a cup of tea before he shut it down to join Kaizen, and who hates me for some reason) started making up reasons to give me warnings to my account.

There was no leader with the old mod staff. I think Fly will even agree that he is soft as a leader, and would rather make a group make a decision for him. He had/has no backbone to speak of when looked at to make a decision, and I think he recognized that, because he spoke about it in his post in our forums about making an extension of PP in the barbarian game. It is not his fault, leadership is something that has a lot to do with your surroundings, and Fly is in Canada smoking pot surrounded by snow and igloos.

Just for the record (while everyone is clearing things up), as it was stated when I agreed with Fly before you posted, I don't hate you. I never really had ill will towards you besides the blanket mod bashing (ie: with the "fags in green" or whatever statement it was that you tossed around all the time) at any chance you got.

Outside of that, I thought you made some pretty funny comments and got some laughs out of them, which is a large majority of what Cmdrfly posted above, that I seconded.

So I don't have a problem with it.
