One of my co-workers is a big fan of podcasting and likes to listen to shows about gaming. He pointed out there's bound to be a podcast out there about Final Fantasy XI, and a quick Google search indeed turned up one called Mega Elixir.
It's like a weekly radio show with a group of people bullshitting about the game. It seems like they have a lot of lowbie and mid-level jobs spread out across a few different servers.
I've downloaded the two most recent episodes (only 13 so far) and they're kinda neat. The new one is about their new linkshell on Kujata called "PhatChocobo," whose only rules are "Listen to our podcast" and "Don't be a little bitch."
It might be worth a listen if you're interested in that sort of thing. I subscribed to it through iTunes.

I think if they're good I'll start downloading from the top.
