Memory question for computer geeks

The eyes on the logo glow, what else do you possibly need?

Sorry Miros, never heard of them before, can't offer much advice on that manufacturer.

I'm thinking specs wise too though. Something is stopping me and I don't know why.

I wouldn't waste my time on 64-bit yet. The industry has yet to embrace it with 64-bit drivers... When the industry does that, I will move my cheery ass to 64-bit.

Never heard of the company Miros. They look decent for ram sticks though. As stated above if you arent running a 64bit OS Windows will not be able to put 1G of that ram to use.

I would stick to good name brand RAM like OCZ,Patriot,Corsair

I've heard of Geil, but I've never seen one with pics on it. I'd stay away from this memory because you probably won't be runnin 64-bit and the latency is hella slow.

Yea those 5-5-5-15 are poopy but you can change those in the bios if it can stand being OCed

Thats assuming that he gets a mobo that allows him to OC, but yeah, get 3-3-3-x (x = i dont remember) or 4-4-4-x latency, 5 is getting up there

3-4-3-9

I've not seen any 3-3-3-9 (course I've not looked very much)

I meant more in the fact he was getting 4gb of RAM. 32 bit OS's become pointless when you have 4gb or more of physical memory as they wont read all of it.

I always heard the lower the latency is the better

Glowing look nice, but mem itself already generate a lot of heat, and this add with no heat spreader, may not be useful in a hot enivorment unless you computer is constant stable temperture

They are a well known ram supplier. Don't get caught up on name brands tho. Some of the lesser known brands with lower prices, use chips from the same manufacture. For that amount of $$, better timings would be good, like a few have mentioned.
