Ok, with the release of Diabolos, I decided I wanted to get it for my SMN before christmas. The only way that I am going to get him on my 63 SMN is by hiring a cannon party of mercs to kill it for me (4 BLMs or MNKs and a RDM/DRK). Goddamn SE.
Anyway, on sunday earlier this week I enquired with someone about hiring them to do the fight for me, and for the price of 200k a head I hired them to kill diabolos for me in the coming week. At the time the person I talked to seemed very promising, talked of not wanting to keep the customer waiting and such. At the start of the week, other customers were taken in stead of me (fight can only be done once a week), and by the time it was my turn finally tonight I was told that the group isnt doing it anymore.
Apparently they got some resists once and wiped, and the 200k isnt worth the bit of xp loss. Now I am left here with no forseeable way to organise a totally different group by tonight, been stringed along for a week and I feel like shit (if you know me youll know I've been trying to organise a fenrir run every night when diabolos fell through, and failing at that too). Damn mercs, if you make an agreement, stick to it ffs, and damn SE for making it impossible for a SMN to contribute anything to the dark avatar fights before theyre 70+ already (and fenrir is at least almost useless).
