MGS4 on 360 1st

I don't normally post in big threads unless I get caught up to speed or started at the very start. But I mean it's not like you're Hitler or anything but yeah from my view you just looked really dumb is all.

It's not like this shit matters anyway.

Anyone who cares enough to argue on the internet about which console is better is going to buy all 3 eventually.(some after price cuts) It's not like I'm never gonna own a 360, but they need to address my biggest complaint first which is the actual hardware sucking balls.
 
Err this is kinda a detour on the thread but I thought I'd voice my thoughts on the thread.

From what I understand Restinance Fall of Man is filled more with filler files then actual game files. The game can probably stack up to 3 gigs +. So honestly I don't think it would be to hard to port games. Who knows with MGS though I have my money on that when the game does come out there will be more cinematics then actual game play.

On the note of effects in games I'd have to say some are outstanding. I don't have a next gen console or any high graphics games yet. So when I go to my friends and see some distortion effects or motoin blurs etc it amazes me how far games have come in such a short time.

I do hope though that there will be another revolutionary game to come out if you would like to call one that.

What do you think, still no way itll come to 360 or you think it has a chance? Personally i have no idea. I think itd be funny as hell if it did though. I wont bet on it till something official comes out but they also really havent said an offical NO either, so well see.

So wait.. the creator himself says it's going to be PS3 only and not any other system and people are STILL having rumors about it being on 360? This is getting tiresome :| and now all the tards that first went "OMG IT'S GONNA BE ON 360! HA! TAKE THAT!" before Hideo said it was PS3 only, where they then went "WHO CARES?! It'll suck anyways! At least we have Halo!" will now, again, say "OMG HA! TAKE THAT PS3!" .... lol.. I hate flip floppers.. (and yes, there really are people like that, some even here on this site, not necessarily in this thread but you know there are :P)
 
Look at Devil May Cry 4... if CAPCOM have jumped ship, KONAMI won't be far behind. All they are waiting for is sale$ number$ if they don't make money they will go to 360's biggest installed base (america and europe) to get it.
 
the creator said its aimed for ps3, which is like a theatre movie. And the 360 is a dvd, and the wii is television.
i took that as, all movies come to dvd eventually. Not all come to television. ive honestly grown tired of the port rumors for any game.
 
Well, MGS hasn't been made for any system other than Sony's in the last several years, at least that Hideo directly worked on. MGS: Twin Snakes was actually made by sub company of Konami I believe. Hideo didn't actually directly work on it, iirc. Though, iirc also, Hideo is friends with the head dood at Nintendo so that's why there are some MGS games on GC. I can't remember if MGS2 was on anything other than PS2.. I think it was.. but I don't remember.. hmm (also too lazy to look it up).

I'm just getting sick of this shit.. X-Box fans seem to think that their system should have every game ever made for it.. or at the very least, every PS3 game. I don't understand the hate for PS3 by so many people. It's just stupid... why are they so angry at Sony? Pissed off that they were in first for so long? It just makes no sense..and all these rumors keep coming up are really getting annoying.

By the way, not every movie comes to DVD :P cause I sure haven't seen a lot of those.. what are they called.. Independent Films on DVD XD
 
Ah.. I really don't care too much :P I just am getting tired of all these rumors going on. They are all so.. spawned from hate too. I just don't get why.
 
He never said its PS3 only, just that its built for, and around the PS3. Which in all honesty means jack shit. Like negor said, xbox 360 = sales. When there are millions more of a console out there and you release a game for it, you're gonna make more money. Especially with a game like MGS4. I wouldn't be surprised if they released it at the same time for both systems and it sold double on 360 of what it sold on PS3. Hypothetically speaking ofcourse since they obviously aren't doing that.

Also it has nothing to do with 360 fans knowing that the 360 is better (even though it is) it just the fact that games that were once PS3 exclusive arent anymore (see: DMC4 and VF5 for examples) and that people like the FF dude (forget his name, the one who made Blue Dragon) are saying that PS3 games should come to xbox.

Its all about the benjamin's, and if they can make a shit load of money by bringing it to 360, they will. Unless of course they have a contract with sony not to port it. But as far as i am aware they don't.

Edit: Also the only reason i bumped/posted that link is because, if you actually read the link you'd see it comes from one of the editors of EGM who was on the Kojima podcast last week. It even says "and more or less confirms there is a deal in place that MGS4 will come to the 360" Now like i said in my other post, i won't really 100% believe it until its in writting, but its not like the editor of EGM is just making up bullshit or its from some "inside source" either.

Face it.. it is rampant fanboism. I don't see 360 fans demanding Nintendo games so much. And what makes a 360 better? Hardware-wise alone, it seems PS3 doesn't have as many horror stories. Game-wise, I agree, 360 has far more :P

And Hideo has said it's set for the PS3 and there are no plans at all about it being on any other system. It seemed quite obviously that it wouldn't be for 360. And that's not saying anything about it going to the 360.. that was speculating (key word there) when it'd be released if it were going to be on another system. And, according to others, because it'd be so long after, it'd still be considered a PS3 exclusive (though I wouldn't).

I'm just sick of these stupid rumors and the retarded responses.. especially the people who are so flip floppy and go "OMG MGS4 WILL COME AND IT'LL BE AWESOME!" and then, after the announcement from Hideo about it not being planned for any other system and the whole PS3 being movie quality etc.. the same people went "omg, MGS sucks anyways and Hideo is crappy, we don't need MGS4" and now this same stupid rumor going around will get those same retards going "OMG MGS4 ALL RIGHT!" and I'm going to want to kill them even more -_-
 
ya, Baja showed me that. It's interesting but that site isn't really a credible gaming news site and the post makes him lose more credibility by bragging and shit. I still don't understand why M$ fans have such hate and determination for every game exclusive to Sony's system be brought to their system.

I'm waiting for Kotaku or something a bit more credible to come in with that news before believing it. But I won't say it's impossible.
 
Well, saying Kotaku is also a credible news site is a little too much, both Destructoid and Kotaku are gaming blogs, so I think that puts them on equal levels. Looks like the article got hit with a cease and desist, which makes me wonder how serious this really is. Remember when Kotaku broke the story on Sony's Home network and got hit the same way? Maybe the same thing will happen here, who knows though.
 
Doesn't the Cease and Desist pretty much confirm it? If it was fake why would they have sent one(whoever it was, could have been MS, Sony, or Konami), they could have just ignored it. They probably wanted to save the announcement for themselves if it was MS or Konami, as opposed to letting gamingblog sites report it. If it was Sony they want MGS4 to boost PS3 sales, and if it's already known it's coming out for 360 eventually that'd kinda screw that up, some people can wait a year or w/e the length of exclusivity is.
Only thing that affects me if it turns out true is deciding whether to get for PS3 or 360(probably PS3 if it ends up coming to 360 a year later) cause both are good in my eyes, and will have games I want to play that won't be on the other.

It has nothing to do with hate, it just that shit, if a game is good it makes sense to want it. I'm sure playstation owners wish Gears or Mass effect or dare i say halo were on PS3 too, the only difference is that PS3 exclusives ARE switching over. And when shit keeps popping up about it, people are gonna keep hoping it does switch over.

The only one who seems to have hate is YOU.
 
No, I'm more than happy for people that make games I like (I <3 Hideo) to get more money from more sales and more systems it's released on is more money. What I hate is the obvious demand that every freakin exclusive OF PS3 go to 360. They never demand ANY exclusives from Nintendo :\ It's just ridiculous. And no, I don't care too much of GoW or Mass Effect came to PS3. They interest me but not all that much. Halo would be interesting but.. eh... I'd rather it be Fable 2 if anything. I <3 Fable and Fable 2 seems to be far more awesome.

But seriously, look at every game site.. look at EVERY M$ owner and look at them say "HAHAHA TAKE THAT SONY!" how is that not obvious hatred? It's annoying

and I say Kotaku is more credible because I've not seen them act so rude like this guy. Kotaku has some bias from what I've seen, will make a joke maybe about something (no more than Game Informer or any other reputable game reviewer magazine/site/etc), but won't upright act rude like this guy's post. Either way, even from Kotaku, I choose to wait until something like IGN or Game Informer or whatever whatnot has an actual story about it.
 
That's because the biggest Nintendo exclusives are all first party and have no chance in hell of ever going to another console, just like halo and Ratchet and clank will never be on another console.
