Um... I get the distinct feeling that 'Idiot' is still in high school. Not that this makes him a bad person, but it alters his 'world view' and skews the things that he may value.

So, I guess I need a life because my wife and I enjoy playing FFXI together. I'll also assume now that the flameboard isnt for flaming people from the game, but for flaming people in real life (because thats all that matters).

I want to find out who you are in game and come and kill you in ballista, a few times, just to make you shut the fuck up. I find people like you are ruining the game. And it makes me sad that you ever came to this forum.

Actually ..., flaming someone for flaming someone else is fair game, basically anything is fair game here, doesn't need to make sense at all, as long as it is a good flame and keeps participants in high spirits it's all good.

If you were fat and ugly, and would only get laid once every blue moon, would you admit it? I think not. Statistically people who are married don't have sex all that often (and I shall dig up a source if necessary), so when someone who is married says "quite often", then it is all relative, and for all we know could mean once a year. Just putting things in perspective.

Apple pies rule. I used to bake them and put them on the roof. Birds would come in and get stuck in them. After awhile they would die because the pies would give them gas. We all know that birds can't actually pass gas so they end up exploding and causing a horrid mess.

Mods can close threads in the areas they are mods for ;)
The flameboard is essentially unmoderated, the only threads that may be closed are senseless trolls, spam of sorts, racist propaganda, and anything suggesting criminal activity. Since laws differ from place to place, I am willing to be lenient on the criminal activity side, so if you choose to make a thread about sodomy, then by all means, go for it, even if your State passed a law that makes anal sex illegal.

Your entire 'point' is that FFXI is a game. No one is contesting that. What you fail to acknowlage is that this is a game in which people sink loads of time, and play with other real people. Those real people often do things to irritate you, and this forum was set up for us to vent about it.

You cannot refute this, because it is fact. So, instead, you attempt to insult my love life (as if it had anything at all to do with anything being discussed).

So, your 'point' or 'statement' doesnt really fit here, as you were told by several posters. Also, when I refuted your 'get a girlfriend' bit with the fac that I have a wife; you took your kiddy-brain to the next level and went with "she doesnt put out." A mind as advanced as this would surely come up with something remarkable after being told that the sex is plentiful... something like "She must be fat and ugly". It is 100% valid to assume this as your next reply, due to your child-like replies before.

Need more? What is "Having a life?" This statement is completely subjective. To me, its enjoying myself in whatever ways I can; and engrosing myself in my hobbies. One of these hobbies is FFXI. Who are you to say that I have no life? Are you somehow not aware that you; the accuser; is doing the exact same thing that I am? IE. Playing video games online and replying endlessly to a flameboard post. This is the definition of hypocracy.

I personally think that those who spend all their time watching sports and drinking/smoking/partying have no life. What makes my view less valid than yours? And what makes the issue of ethics/ettiquette within a multiplayer game any less 'real' than those same issues in a sport or at a store? Is it okay to cheat in a sport? Is it okay to steal in real life? The sport is just a game, and the stolen items can be replaced. Why get upset or irritated about it? Well, its probably because those things are

important to people

FFXI is something that is important to me. I hate to see the game slowly ruined by a lame player population, much like you would probably hate it if the cops came over to break up your party.

The only reason that the things that are important to me are being ridiculed here is because you are a closed-minded, ignorant, and selfish child. Its like being in high school and being labeled as a Nerd or a Jock or w/e.

I used the 'flair' words like Clown Shoe and Bitchbag for laughs. I dont need to sit here and call you insanely vulgar names, such as Yeast-Infected-Clit-Tissue, or Cum-Dumpster, to get my point accross. My point is that you act like a child, and your statements have no bearing on the topic.

If by "several" you mean 3 or 4, ok. Doesn't make them right or me wrong. And how poor of you to lean on others to argue for you. Maybe if you spent the time being all riled up about FFXI and about ME, doing something like studying logic (a noble pursuit), then you could argue for yourself. Well, that isn't entirely fair, you have, by and large argued for yourself (as "several" really is an overstatement), just not terribly well.
And you keep missing the point. the point is this You say the game is "important to people". As simply as i can state it, pehaps i've been too vague, maybe the game SHOULDN'T be that important. Look over my posts, you'll see that recurring theme. I mock your reverence of the game. Why, if you DO have a real life, is this game IMPORTANT to you to the level that you feel that not only do you NEED to vent, but you must consistently reply to me? Think about this pathological behavior. As I pointed out, a few posts ago you said you were done with me. I made a one word reply (1 single word) implying i had won, and you were so obsessed with this that not only have you replied "several" times (if you can exaggerate, so can I) and even referenced your being done with it and your need to continue.
Does this seem like healthy mental exercise to you? It doesn't to me. it seems ver unhealthy. So please, for your own sake, seek the help you need. For your wife, your friends, for the people you know in your life that help you. Don't waste time with me, or with other people that you don't actually know in some truly insignificant game that "steal" things that aren't actually owned by you, and in fact exist only as a concept never to be made wholly true.

Absolutely agree. Please point out when I stated those items, either as a whole or in exclusion, as necessary requirements to "having a life".
I wrote very early on "get exercise" which would imply PLAYING sports, not watching them. I also make reference to "mingleing" and social interraction with friends, which in one context COULD imply a party, though not in all contexts and not necessarily "party" with the same connotation. I would never suggest to anyone that they should smoke. To answer your question "What makes my view less valid than yours?": many things, none of them involving smoking or watching sports per se. Where you got all that? I'll never know. sounds like you've taken similar shit from OTHER people, and confusing them with me. Do you get told you have no life often? Is that why you are so adamantly refusing to give in?

No, i am not a hypocrite. I could explain THAT in great length. YOU spend a lot of time being angry at video-games, I spend a lot of time in self introspection making sure that my beliefs and actions coincide.
I never said that playing video-games can't be a part of your life. I, and let me say it AGAIN (so many times), say that you make them too IMPORTANT a part of your life to the point where, given your pathological behavior (i'll use that term again because it is so apt) that it clearly superceeds pursuits that are obviously more important. That is why I am no hypocrite; there is no illusury factor with me.

Here's your next arguement, and it follows from another of yours (poorly stated then, but now more to the point): "Who are you to judge what should be important in my life?"

So go ahead. There are no limits to your posts, so what's one more? I know you want to. Go ahead ask me that question. I'll phrase your arguments for you. Who knows, maybe you'll beat me with that one. Of course, you have stated that I've already lost. That makes you either a liar or mistaken because if you TRULY believed that you'd won, you would've stopped posting. Earlier I claimed to have "schooled" you, but I am not so conceited to believe I have one. Clearly I have not, but maybe its not so clear to you. I hope strongly that it is YOU who are the hypocrite and SAYS there isn't a difference in ettiquette in a game and real life, when you KNOW that there is a very sharp difference. I have never hoped for hypocracy ever before, but I do now.
