I wanted to apologize to Kerowynn, I didn't mean to come off as harsh as I did. I understand the predicament you're in and really appreciate the fact that you did try other avenues before declawing. I'm really glad things worked out with your cat and the procedure and he/she's living a good life. Declawing is a big topic for me because I know of a lot of cases where cats were put to sleep because of it. They developed severe behavioral problems and were un-adoptable by the time their owners surrendered them - so I get a little worked up about the subject - however I have seen a lot of cases where the cat was okay and I'm glad your kitty was one of them :3

Just wanted to say I'm sorry for being a dick to you, I know the world isn't so black and white and there are definitely circumstances that fall into the 'grey' area - I was just having a bad day. :3

shes sleeping now again, shes babying that paw and ive looked at it. its not broken but i can see one single claw pulled up, probly got caught in the carpeting, its scabbed but healing correctly.
i really wish i could afford a vet right now...but currently i can only keep a very good eye on her and take much care of her on my own.

You can get cats whenever I think..but I got my grandma a cat from a family and we had to keep her (the cat) there because she was dependent to her mom.

As for free...uh..lol did you get the cat from some shelter? My cat was like 500-600 dollars..if it was gonna be selled for shows..like 1000-1500. Siamese ftw!!

If you want a pet in America, you go to the pound and get one for free, or you know someone who's pet just had babies.

That is, of course, unless you want a purebred animal. Those cost money.

A lot of pet supply stores refuse to sell cats and dogs because there are so many that are killed on a daily basis in order to control the population. Adoption is the way to go in my opinion.

I personally have 3 adopt-a-kitties, 1 kitty out of a box in front of a walmart, 1 pound kitty, 1 adopt-a-puppy, and 1 puppy-mill puppy(this one is my sisters, not mine. She wanted a Palmerainian). Always adopt yer pets, you can find about any type you want unless you want a documented pure-bred or something obscure like a Toyger. Always adopt.
 
Anytime i've gotten a pet that was anything other than a gift i make for damn sure they come from a kill shelter. If you're going to get a pet saving it's life is about the best way to start building a bond IMO.

Mutts have more character anyway. ;)

If i was posting on a site that had any kind of importance i would of used url's ect to prove what i was saying, but unlike the multi thousand post ppl on here i dont live on QCDN. All my response's were done in a quick matter im not here to impress nerds, I made a quick statement but somehow i got draged into a 2 day arguement and wasted way too much time.

There's no way I could, or would want to invest my time into carrying an "E-debate" like this--Some people were droning on... and on... and on... and, well... on, as it were! I'm kinda glad I took a step back from FFXI for a good while to gather my thoughts. That way, I can have a bit of an unbiased perspective on things.

You can watch star trek and not be a nerdy treky. Just like you can play a MMORPG without spending whatever free time your not on the game on site obsessing on it. I have 310 posts over 3 years of this shit, whenever i post is when Im sick and cant rock climb, I happend to be on it alot this week cause im in the middle of moving so i had little 30 min breaks. Dont worry i dont plan on being on here much after im done moving so you and your nerdy friends can be on here all damn day putting up pics of kittens and walrus's all you like and i wont bother you i swear.

PETA is far from being a good example. They're a bunch of hypocrites.

And no, dead animals isn't the cause of air pollutions. If you leave a dead animal rotting, then yes, it will cause a small ammount of air pollution. It is, however, very important, as it relases nitrogen, which is important for all living animals.

Besides, air pollution comes from human factories, cars, gas etc. It also comes from animals. A large ammount, over 10% of the total air pollution, comes from mud vulcanos. They spit out huge ammount of methan gas every day, and the currently most active one (I believe it is in indonasia, not 100% sure) have covered a whole vilage in mud. They can spit out several km2 of mud every day. And in Azerbaijan, one of these self-ignited and caused a huge fire. It is believed these are the secret behind earth's periods of ice age. That these mud volcanos are what caused the older global warmings and climate changes, due to the high ammount of methan gasses they release.

Most of them are underwater, and there's most likely a few around the bermuda triangle, which can explain the sudden dissapearance of ships etc. A mud vulcano erupting would release huge ammount of metan gasses, and they would then move towards the surface of the water and create a large gas bubble. Methan gass causes the density of water to decreases, causing the ship to sink. The Gulf Stream can then drag the ships away. That is just purely speculation, though. And I don't know, but I'm guessing methan gasses can affect airplanes aswell, but I'm not that interrested in airplanes, and don't exactly read up on them.

Well, that was somewhat a derail of the derail, but yeah. Mud volcanos release a fuckload of methan gasses. Animals do too. Mainly chicken, pigs, cattles. Cattles don't eat meat, though, so rotting carcasses can't be the cause of that, now can it? Its a bacteria that creates methane, so you can create methane even if you're not eating meat.

And PETA isn't against the meat industry because it contributes to the global warming. They're aggainst it because they think animals have feelings, and killing them and eating them would be like eating a human child. Yes, animals do have feelings, but eating animals are part of the cycle of life. Animals need to be killed in order to keep the balance. Even if we didn't kill them, they'd still die, eventually. Be it from starving, sickness, natural or by other predators.

According to the Planned Parenthood hotline, a woman has an abortion ever 3 minutes. And of those abortions, 1 out of every 3 woman who have an abortion are under the age of 18. And out of those under the age of 18, 3/4 of the abortions are a result of rape of somesort.

Uzor pretty much readily explained this. And PETA? Come on man. What a terrible example.

The deaths of animals are part of the carbon cycle, in which helps run the entire eco-system. Also, the decay of organs and flesh gives nitrogen and other key nutrients into the ground, thus supporting plant growth, similar to a compost pile, but much more effective.

Animal defication, if that is what you refer to as "excrement", makes up practically no part of air pollution. If you think it is a major factor, you need to be smacked in the head. Regarding chemical properties in defication, a cow's belch pollutes more (because of a low concentration of methane gas) than "cow pies".

And, again as Uzor mentioned, there are things that are much more effective at polluting the air. According to EPA studies, and other air pollutant studies, humans only make up between 9-15% of the earth's air pollution, which is not the ozone. Volcanoes, hurricanes, etc. cause much more pollution than mankind, and realistically, mankind and all life on earth is only alive because of global warming. Hence why it is a natural occurence.

Sorry to hear that Chasym. My dog lost her right eye because I through a ball into a bush on purpose, and a sharp stick cut her eye in half... I know how it feels. I hope your kitten makes a full recovery, which she should.
