That doesn't look like Brendan Fraser to me....
I just get sick of hearing smack talk that lumps everyone into the same pot. If you're only knocking the people who are so blind that they can never accept anything other than what they believe no matter what happens in the future, then fine. I'm as disturbed as you are about most of it. You may be understanding enough to know that all religious people aren't the same, but a lot of people aren't and it's obvious by some of the posts that are floating around on here.
Making fun of the religious wackjobs is fun though. This is an important find and they're already contending that it's basically a lemur cat.. thing. I'll admit, I've been one to bash religious as an all-inclusive abstinence only club. However, I still agree with some of the smart people that get all washed up in the cross fire of the nuts and Jesus (notice I put Jesus on the 'good' end of Christianity).
I think the main argument here, Mirewin, is that a lot of christians/muslims/ect are already bashing Ida as "no big deal" or something to ignore. In my opinion, I'll trust a scientist over a faith-ist. Logic =/= prayer and 2,000 year old books.
Anyway. Ida was probably hot.

It doesn't look like Imhotep too either lol.. At least it's a nice discovery for the human kind. Kudos to the archeologists that dug that thing up ^^.
I know, let's clone the dna of that thing and build a giant attraction park for rich people off the coast of Costa Rica!

Said Mr. Smith, “I really cannot
Tell you, Dr. Jones—
The most peculiar pain I’m in—
I think it’s in my bones.”
Said Dr. Jones, “Oh, Mr. Smith,
That’s nothing. Without doubt
We have a simple cure for that;
It is to take them out.”
He laid forthwith poor Mr. Smith
Close-clamped upon the table,
And, cold as stone, took out his bones
As fast as he was able.
Smith said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you,”
And wished him a good-day;
And with his parcel ‘neath his arm
He slowly moved away.
