Ok so I don't think I've heard of this game "second life" but here's the story I heard today.

So I'm listening to a local radio station morning show and they brought this up in the news. A belgium woman was rapped in a game called second life and the police are involved now or someshit.

Anyone heard this story two or know this game? Don't see how the police would get involved but I could see it as harrasment in game and get a suspension or banning.

If you could sue for being raped in a game Shyrra would be screwed.

saw this several weeks ago, and I still do not understand why police must be involved. Only reason I see that they should get involved is if it was one of those "online predator" kinda people that end up raping you in RL, some way, and theyre just trying to prevent that from happening, since.. you know. People are too stupid to prevent it themselves by staying private.

In fact, I bet she wasnt raped at all in the game. I bet she offered her toon, then started screaming internet rape, because... well, idk.

He touched my e-penis when he he typed /emote touches your e-penis and it feels good

RAPE I WAS SEXUALLY AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED

I guess supposidly or something they're is a way to hack the game to have your character really do the motions or something when the person was laying on the ground. Don't know if it was from knock out or what. Guess itd be like teebaging but rape motions lol. It was quite the story though I'd like to read more if anyone can find info on it

The game is like an ultimate sandbox...you can make objects, wear them, bind actions and code things into the objects to do stuff, code motions for your character, etc...

I played it for a while...great fun, hard to do anything unless you know something about programming and don't suck at picturing things in 3D...

I mean...I can see how people can get too into the game...but damn it, that is ridiculous.

So i checked out Second Life's site to see what it's about and from what i read it sounds like an interesting game. Their creation system and economy makes FFXI look amature if what i read is true.

Make anything you want from scratch, write a script for it so it works however you want it to, and even sell it if you want. All things in the game is made by the players, even the ingame nightclubs. Free to play unless you want to make more characters or get a premium account which lets the player buy sell and own their own real-estate. The hell.

well, the thing is... Second-life really isnt a game. Its like what its name is.. A second life. People actually make/buy/sell things for big-time money. I think (could be wrong on this name) London sold for a couple hundred thousand dollars once upon a time.

Its more like a giant chat-room than anything, but those can be considered games too I suppose. But you have to handle your character much like you do in RL. You need to work, buy your crap, sell it, pay bills, etc.

The graphics are horrible, there isnt any fighting unless someone custom made a code for it. Everything in the game costs real money to buy. Its been on TV a lot, I'm surprised you haven't heard of it.

About 2-3 months ago there was an article on... DailyTech maybe. Anyways it was about the first person to every make $1 million (RL money) by trading real estate in Second Life.

It's hardly a game.

I should introduce Leester to Rannoch they would make good friends...

Haha, so true. I might check out Second Life, see if I can play that to pay for FFXI.
