MNK vs. DRK 1v1 Ballista

Well first of all, High delay weapons are useless in Ballista. It's all about TP gain and still being able to live in Ballista, the best option would have been 1 hand Axe as a weapon. Second of all, Monk will win anyway you put it. Monks can are built for having high attack power, and still be able to defend themselves. Drk can use stun, drain, and other magic spells, but they have shitty defense and will get stomped the fuck out it in seconds.

Statistiscally, Galka makes the best Dark knight... STATISTICALLY. I'm not sure which race makes best Monk, but I'd assume either Elvaan or Galka, so they are pitting the best of the best. Ballista is a horrible PvP, WS's are highly exaggerated in damage, and any job can just go naked and still manage to lay a few people out.
 
well tyrath, like i said MNKs own all... never once did i say rng would own a MNK.. cuz rng would get owned

2nd.. no cap... pimp 75 MNK vers pimp 75 drk and MNK would win

davio, we all know rdm, pld/rdm own... ive told you this.. but i was talking more of the DD melee.. would you pick a pld/rdm as a DD in a PT? :P

Sorry thats not true. A naked drk and a naked mnk the drk will have more def. A mnk with good pvp gear and a drk with good pvp gear the drk will still run the mnk into the ground in the DEF department. MNK's wear cloth DRK's wear plate. I mean come on :(

drk def is considered low because our abilities either consume def or hp, its not the base that's low. And my def is still higher than a whm's after I've ripped it to hell with all abilitites so stfu :P

god damn how much propaganda about my job do i have to deal with these days... *beats head against wall* Tell you guys what, I'll make a post on the hades board and see if i can set up a ballista match, LVL 71 vs 71 or as close as I can, and lets see a real fight between a drk and a mnk who have played more than one round of ballista in their lives. I'm sure it will be a tad bit more interesting than that POS at the top.
 
Um, WHMs have higher def than my DRK at the same level when i'm in my fight gear.
 
i've beaten many monks in no-cap ballista as rng/sam

you just have to play smart

mnk/war are just too fun to destroy :)

and drk/sam or drk/nin would have been a better fight for the MNK in those vids, also the drk didn't even use stun, sleep or drain

and for the person saying the drk lost because he had -evasion gear, thats BS mate ;) drk evasion is garbage to begin with (talking about evasion skill here), so the -30 or whatever evasion he had from gear isn't going to matter much, especially since the MNK has focus to increase accuracy

if a MNK truely wants to decimate somebody in ballista they could sub sam or nin and just go to town

as RNG in ballista I never bother attacking anybody with utsusemi, except other RNGs ;)
 
Well, i could take out a MNK as well if i had barrage up and 100 tp.. that is too easy

Basically my point is a MNk with no SJ will own any other "melee" job with no SJ... however im pretty sure ninja can beat MNK.. that is what ive heard
 
NIN beats MNK if two of two things happen:

!) MNK does not use Counterstance
2) MNK does not get 100% TP

If either of these things happen, NIN loses.

haha, you all just wait till I get around to lvling WHM, then DRG/WHM is going to come kick all your asses, as soon as I get my lisence too... Don't believe me? Just wait ^^

all i know is that when i die in ballista i get 50% tp. Meditate,Last Resort, and Souleater owns all. All i need to do now is target the strongest of all ppl, poisonga for shadows stun then Guillotine, and its over... if not drain will take care of you :P
