Mog Bonanza prizes available already?

Are people somehow getting access to their Mog Bonanza prizes already?

The reason i ask is that there seems to be a ridiculous amount of behemoth hides going up for sale each day. As a result, the price of dusk gear is dropping like a stone...at one point there were 19 pairs of dusk gloves for sale at once. Currently there are 20 Khroma Ore for sale as well, but I don't know if that's typical or not.

Is there a crazy amount of byakko-age going on, or am I missing something about the lottery thing? I thought prizes were available from July 2 on.

I'm noticing Byakko Seals in Batallia by the dozen, prices of 150k lowest, perhaps increasing the available hides? Perhaps people are feeling the rush to "get stock moving" before the price completely crashes? You'll never know, could be people gathering/holding onto them for a while before finally letting loose.

Nope, they're not accessable yet. The winning numbers are being given next month some time i think.

Also, it's obvious. People are selling it now as fast as possible before the huge crash in price when people win 123891273876 behemoth hides next month. In doing so, they're digging their own grave, but they don't realise that.

Just check out Dusk Gloves at the moment, lol.

It's hilarious that the economy is already killing itself before the prizes even come out.
Looks like it's high time someone pick up some dusk gloves.

Rofl Xal your sig

I can't get enough of his sig.

What he said.

if this is really the case i may be able to get me some dusk legs and feet without going into bankruptcy.

I'm watching a few items drop steadily in price as people unload what they think will suddenly become commonplace once prizes are issued, I guess we the consumer benifit from this panic as stocks fall. :)

Too bad I'm a leathercrafter, not a consumer.

orz!

I can't wait til all these crafters shit themselves silly by lowering gear and then the 10-100mil winners snatch it all up with plenty of gil left to spare. If anything they should be JACKING the price of dusk, not lowering it.

The net amount of gil added to the economy will theoretically be zero ; gil payouts are exactly equal to the expected cost to achieve that level prize. However, even the dimmest RMT has figured out that the rank 4 prize can be abused and a Behemoth hide guaranteed for a cost of only 100,000 gil. The result will be massive undercutting and dropping the price of hides into the 100-200k range.

I fail to see how that works. You know there's gonna be people that bought 10 marbles and got lucky on one or two for the rank 4 prizes. Not to mention the few lucky people who might get the 100M. If you only take into account that the RMTs are buying equal amounts of marbles for the same payout, then yeah I guess you'd be right, but what's the ratio of actual players to RMT on every server?

You're not "achieving" anything in a lottery. That's why it's a lottery, it's luck.

If you look at it from the perspective that every 100 million gil spent on tickets will earn 100 million gil... you're half right. That 100 million gil will also result in roughly another 100 million gil being won, however, given the way this particular lottery works.

I'm gonna be so pissed if the winner is something like Aaaaaaasdfgj. Think SE would allow it?

I think they would allow it. The thing is, I doubt RMT would really be doing the event. The return mathematically is only 1.111 to 1gil ratio of return. Whoever does win 100m, I would suspect SE to monitor their activity for a couple of months to say the least. They would see if their funds drop considerably and if it does to non realistic means they would probably block both accounts for RMT activities.

lol i haven't even bought my marbles yet...better do that soon

It worries me that so many people don't understand basic concepts of economy.
