what do u have to do to get the mog to let u get more stuff and what r the requiments for the gob backpack quest. (sorry for spelling)

Pirogoeth

To begin the Mog Safe expansion quests, you have to get a bronze bed, put it in your Mog Safe, then place it somewhere in your Mog House using the layout feature.

After the next conquest tally (which happens weekly... Sunday night/Monday morning), if you talk to your moogle, he may give you the quest. Apparently only a limited number of people receive the quest each week, and it's supposed to be based on your fame in your home town. You'll have to give him a Power Bow and a Beetle Ring to expand the safe after you get the quest.

The subsequent Mog Safe expansion quests work the same way, just with different beds/items. Check allakhazam for specific details.

As for the goobiebag quest, you need to have a certain amount of Jeuno fame to receive the quests. Jeuno fame is earned by earning fame in any of the three nations (it is essentially an average, but how precisely the average is calculated, I'm not sure). Just try to build your fame in the three nations (San o'Dria is easiest, Bastok is next easiest, Windurst is hardest, especially since Bastok has been dogging it lately in the conquest race--if Bastok isn't ranked 3rd in the conquest race, you can buy cornettes there to turn in for Windurst fame).

If you get a decent level of fame in Bastok and San o'Dria, you should have enough Jeuno fame to do the goobiebag quest. Exactly how much fame is needed, I don't know.

To get enough fame in jeuno for gobbiebag, I suggest the "cabbage run". That's the common name, I don't recall the actual name, look up the quest on allakhazam, it will be in SELBINA. You get (buy/grow/farm) large quanties of la theine cabbage, million corn, or boyhada moss and give them to the farmer guy who has sheep just inside selbina.

If you can find boyhada moss for a good price, you can actually make money while doing this, but I've noticed the moss is usually in short supply. But the moss is a 1 for 1 trade in for money and a quest. The corn takes qty. 3 and the cabbage is 5 (I think).

I did cabbage mostly because it was cheap and the loss of money was low. But I've since grown a lot of corn and turned that in too. When I saw moss available, I would buy all the stacks I could and turn them in too. I believe I've done this quest about 80 times. No zoning necessary and it gives you fame in: Jeuno, San d'Oria, and Bastok.

Just empty out your inventory, fill with the goods, and trade for an hour! :) It's even easier if your country controls the valkurm dunes region because you can use the supply quest teleport from the outpost to your home town to resupply.

thanx guys but what do i have to do after i get the quest for the backpack

1st bag expansion: Talk to Bluffnix in Lower Jeuno he will ask for:
Dhalmel Leather
Linen Cloth
Steal Ingot
Peridot

2nd bag expansion: Talk to Bluffnix again, he will ask for:
Ram Leather
Wool Cloth
Mythril Ingot
Turquoise

3rd bag expansion: Talk to Bluffnix again, he will ask for:
Tiger Leather
Velvet Cloth
Gold Ingot
Painite

4th bag expansion: Talk to Bluffnix again, he will ask for:
Cermet Chunk
Silk Cloth
Darksteal Ingot
Goshenite

They have to be done in order, and you need enough fame to do them. No idea either how much is "enough".

Edited to reflect correct hand ins.

Actually, I've done this one, and it's Dhalmel Leather, Linen Cloth, Steel Ingot, and Peridot. Peridot is the most expensive, being about 11k at the AHs, then Steel Ingot (being around 4-5k), and Dhalmel Leather and Linen Cloth are relatively cheap (around 1-2k each).

Haven't done the quest myself yet, still messing around in Windurst only. My info was a shameless copy and past from somewhere, but if Linen Cloth is used for the first quest, is it used in the second one as well?

I've done the first gobbie bag, I believe linen cloth is the item for the first level.

I haven't done the second as I think it's WAY too much money. :)

I think the mog house increases are WAY too much too.

I have a mule character in windy that I use for extra storage, planting, and buying supplies from the guild.. also useful for selling at the AH. That only costs me a buck a month. :)

But gobbiebag 1 is really nice.. I think it was worth every penny.

Don't know. Haven't tried that one yet, as the first Gobbiebag and Mog Safe expansions were really expensive for me already (about 20k each). Bluffnix hasn't even given me the quest yet, anyway. I think I need more Jeuno fame.

Fame level for gobbie bags are:

GB #1: 2
GB #2: 4
GB #3: 5 or 6?
GB #4: 6 or 7?

I'm positive on #1 and #2, because I've completed them. I've gotten the #3 quest too (I have level 7 fame thanks to the moss quest in selbina), but it's like 45k, and that's a tad too much.
