Moliones's Set: DRK Scythe Comparison

When I first looked at this set I didnt think much of it. It kind of had a cool twist to it with the set getting bonus Acc. I am just curious what other people are thinking of this set and seeing if they think this will replace any gear for us.

Perdu Sickle Setup:
93 DMG 501 delay 14 attk 5 acc
Ulthalum Ring: 4 attk 4 acc

Totals: 18 attk 9 acc

Moliones Sickle Setup:
95 DMG 501 delay 3 STR
Moliones Ring: STR 4
Set: Increases Souleater dmg, accuracy

Totals: 7 STR 2% souleater dmg(not stackable) 5acc


Comparison:

95dmg 7STR 5acc 2% souleater VS. 93dmg 18attk 9 acc

If you use AF Helm/AF+1 Helm then that totally cancels out the 2% souleater, however if you use Wyvern Helm/+1 or N.Head its a nice bonus.

Seems like a hard comparison. WS will be better with Moliones. If you use Wyvern Helm/+1 or N.Head Souleater time on WS will be a very nice bonus. DoT looks like it would be better with Perdu setup.

I personally am kind of torn.
 
I haven't done any tests as I haven't had time to go camp the items, but from the looks of it I'm leaning towards perdu.

But i want to see some parses :<

Hmm? You mean in addition to the scythe right?
 
The only way I'd use the Moliones set is with a rockin +haste setup. The main perk to the Moliones set is that it supplies you with the souleater enhancement without having to put on af+1 helm, gloom body, or those legs I can't remember the name of. Unless you have the absolute best gear for those slots (w.turban/hecatomb cap, adaberk, homam legs/black cuisses) then there's no real reason to bother with Moliones.

What about compared to say a Tredecim Scythe/Sniper Ring +1?

neither set looks bad performance wise. don't stress over this to much. i doubt you'll have trouble living up to the title of hurt machine either or.

Omg, I can't rate you up again Rappa, but this had me laughing my ass off at work. I had to close the window for a minute so no one would see what I was looking at. Way to make me look all crazy at work...giggling hysterically apparently at a sales plan spreadsheet. -.-;

But yeah, I agree with this. For my money, one piece of gear with Souleater+1 (Gloom Breastplate, Chaos Burgeonet/+1, Sable Cuisses) is a better choice than needing two pieces to fill that role.

Not to mention if you're doing a souleater zerg you usually end up using a zerg weapon and needing the scythe to increase damage makes it kinda pointless ;<
 
I've messed around with the set a bit, havn't parsed it yet, but I'm willing to bet perdu/tred/moliones's all parse very close. So it kinda comes down to, do you like an awesome huge scythe, and faggot looking white one, or the colorful perdu.
 
dont forget you lose the 25acc from the AF helm+1, only to gain 5 that seems dumb. I'd just use the helm, you get the same dmg boost and you can take acc off and add STR+att where you lack. I wouldnt give up 25acc every 5min any day of the week. Should just go for the str+5 hp+25~ ring if you want more SE dmg, i prolly wont use this new ring.
