Money Making towards Ozmone

I'm at hte Ozmone Plains part of the storyline, and I strapped for cash. I haven't upgraded my weapons and armor for a good while, so I went out to farm and got a good 100k, until I spent most of it on technicks and magicks -.- .
Any suggestions on where to farm?
 
Sphene's tip made me a boatload of money but... you're kinda a ways away from there still. Stick to coeurl's and succulent fruits other than that not too much is worth anything. Remember to always be stealing from boss battles, restart if you steal a hi-potion and steal something that's valuable.. most bosses have something that can be stolen worth at least a cool grand maybe 2.
 
Just run around in ozmone. Except for the annoying zuu's and serpent's that place is the shit for xp and gil at that stage.
 
The blue Coeurl type mobs just inside the forest are pretty good for cash at that spot. They drop Coeurl Hides very fast, and occasionally Quality Pelts.
 
Also you can steal Quality Pelts from them at a very good rate too.

My advice to you. When you train or level up your characters(whatever you call it) just make sure one of your characters has a steal gambit. Maybe something like Steal - Mob HP 100%. So they will get one shot to steal from every mobe they encounter then the other characters will hit it and they will switch back to attack. Thats all I did all the way through the game and I never need to farm money.

Also if you see undead steal from it. 99% of the time they have Blood-stained bone or some variation maggety skin that will sell for 1k gil at least.

Maggoty skin are easy drops off of undead and gigas mobs. Ichton scales go for over 1k each though, but a little harder to get. At the Ozmone part of the storyline, I don't think you can get Giza Plains to rain... but if you can, Ichtons appear in Giza during rain season.

Iron caraprace is easy to get, 450 gil per. And as said before, Quality and Courel Pelts sell good as well. Bone fragments too.
 
Ozmone plaine is a gold mine. with the exception of those walking birds the loot you get from the mobs is some of the best you can get now. iron carapaces from the Mezmers are what made my pocket fatten up really quick esspecially.

the jungle, as mentioned, is really good too. just dont venture to far south in it. the hell hounds are a bit strong for you at this stage.

to be perfectly honest, from here on out all the areas you go through will be able to turn you a hefty proffit if you farm in them for awhile.
 
Flans in Henne mines and Mirror Knights in Feywood are my two hot spots for making money. Feywood takes a little time but you can get so rich if you put forth the effort.
