THC for life.
Recently, my computer moniter has been acting kinda wonky. Every so often, the screen will kinda blink, and then a blue or yellow tint will come over everything on the screen. It's a generic made flat panel LCD moniter, about 2 years old, and the tint filter doesnt seem to apply to the moniters on screen display. Has anyone else had issue like this? Is my moniter simply burning out? Any help would be appreciated before I brave the hell that is Best Buy Tech support.

Are you sure the VGA (assuming) is plugged tight and secure into the back. It sounds like the plug is coming a bit loose which causes some of the prongs to become detached and you lose some of the color transfer between PC and Monitor.

...and that just goes to show the simplest solution is usually the best. I spent a couple hours trying to update drivers, change color settings, anything I could think of, and I didn't think to check the damn plugs. Thanks Lanien, that fixed it right up, and now I feel like an idiot.

lol Glad to help. It happens to me every so often if I accidentally bump my desktop too hard.

Order of operations:

-check the wall plug.
-check the plug into the device.
-check the internals.
-call support.
-get pissed at support.
-check the wall plug again.

:)

So you are why they always ask me if I checked the connection whenever I have to call tech support...

While this is all true and good advice, the very first step in technical support is to check the nut behind the keyboard.
