I was searching around for an online multiplayer version of Monopoly that you didn't have to buy anything to play, and I came across something that is quite good, there aren't many people on at the moment, but I might have missed peak hours or something.

All you have to do is download the small client and make an account, it's all really quick and easy. The games are picked through matchmaking so you don't have to scan around for tables or make your own. There is an interesting way the starting space is handled though, it starts at an amount that you get paid every time you pass it, but it can go up or down depending on certain conditions, I actually played a game where the recession was so bad, you wound up paying about 450+ each time you passed the start XD
Give it a shot if you're looking to play a game of Monopoly or something very similar.
