Anybody know the last ToD of Morbolger as this is the last item I need for brown belt. Any info would be appreciated. I am on Quetzalcoatl server.
 
Just go to Ordelles and afk in the morbolger room. Every hour on the hour there will be a conquest update; you can find out the ToD through that. That's actually how I killed Morbolger, I was waiting on a ToD and he spawned with no one else in the room.

Well, if you go afk and decide to go off of conquest updates, standing in the middle of the room will guarnatee 99% (unless he's pulled to the furthest corner or out into the hall) that you will see "Morbolger has been defeated by xxxx" somewhere in your log right? So knowing that conquest updates happen every hour, you would look for that death message, and then can have an approximation (of within the hour; within two conquest updates) of when the ToD was. Then to play it safe you would just assume that ToD is close to the conquest update right before the death, and would base your decision on that time for when the pop window would re-open.

Yeah, this what I was talking about. It's a rough ToD, but it'll give you a window that you can use to camp it.

This is when I personally think windower starts deviating to a side helper to direct influence onto the game.

I personally turn off all shit like timestamp and distance ;x
 
find 3 smn and trio ks30 contaminated colloseum ... its damn easy and well over a 50% drop. If you offer to give the smn a split of everything else that drops im sure ull find some takers.

I disagree. Morbolger is hardly camped these days. I was there for 4 nights in a row, with no more than 2 cc'ers each night. If you know the ToD (easy to figure out) and have the time, camp the 100% drop NM and save your KS for something that can net you some gil. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut, and over the course of a few days, if you have any claiming skill at all, you'll get it and be done with it.

Particularly on weekdays if possible, weekends can get kind of sketchy.
 
I was there for 2 nights about a month ago and had 1 cc'er. I would show up and within about 30 min or so he would afk to go to work. I tried the whole leave my setup over night but got booted from FF throughout the course of the day when I was at work. Thank goodness it popped about a hour or so after I logged back in.

One thing though... If no one kills it you will have no ToD and no pop time since it doesn't do anything but move around from what I know.(i.e you won't see Morlbolger starts casting xxxx)

Definitely I'd say camp it though. It's well worth it. It was actually my first item for Brown Belt since the others are easier to camp(not that the drop rate is any good lol)

I gotta agree with Dejavu this bcnm is very easy, i trioed it 2 ninja and one mage. Veresko has even soloed it as ninja.

At this point, you might as well just go the whole nine yards and just bot the damn thing.

I really recommend the KSNM, the drop rate on it is really good. I even wound up getting a vine from the few times I've done it, just because there were so many.

SMNs is hardly a requirement for that BC, if you go that route. SMNburn is a valid strategy, as is manaburn, as is meleeburn, as is a balanced party. Really, the only thing to be concerned about is that anyone in melee range (or anyone out of melee range who's liable to pull hate, such as a BLM who doesn't know the meaning of hate control) a. has NIN main/sub for blinks (it can bind with a TP move and grav as an added effect on normal smacks, which hampers running away from Extremely Bad Breath), b. has a reasonably good connection, frame rate, etc. (read: doesn't lag much), and c. has non-craptacular reflexes.

Extremely Bad Breath has enough charge time to say so, and on top of that you get three emote warnings before it so you can even predict when it's gonna happen and get away in advance. And it doesn't have particularly big range either, so you don't have to go running screaming far far far far away.

I could totally see a good NIN soloing it.
 
Yeah, you almost have to be afk to get hit with bad breath. You can probably get some mages to come who want morgenstern or the staff, or a ninja looking for a Senj like I was when I did my run. Money items are kinda meh, but the weapons are good.
 
On a side note Pole Strap seems to drop pretty well off this KSNM aswell.

If no one kills it then it'd still be up when you un-AFK...thus needing ToD would be entirely pointless, wouldn't it? =P
