https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3811 can correct this massive oversight, just replace the black dot with the red one, and things will be as they should be.

There's no real excuse for this sort of sculli-ism, really...
I've had hope for QCDN and nothing really to complain about for quite some time, but this is still .... dumb. The change was implemented because Hellstorm asked, without any sort of input from anyone else, or at least that's the situation the users got to see...

It's also technically an oversight, like the skip to last post feature - It was always there, just no one could see it.

How is it really a sculli-ism? People have the options to view pictures, or not view pictures here. We were under the impression there was always an option to disable rep. Then it was brought to our attention, and fixed.

Does anyone even remember the rep system before Nox came in? I'm willing to bet it's a no. lol

Like Baj said, all it is is a way for cowards to hide the fact that they've made a bad name for themselves.

It's nothing like "being able to view or hide pictures". It doesn't do anything for your viewing of the site, it affects everyone else's. It's a carebear happy feelgood way of making sure nobody has their feelings hurt even a little, even if lots of people think otherwise. It was never about customizing how you view the site, it's about forcing that customization on how others view it, and it completely removes the point of the reputation system, namely the ability to go both ways, and replaces it with what amounts to the stupid thank you system that was quickly replaced.

To be perfectly honest, I don't care which way things go, but this inbetween indecisiveness is just annoying. Either take the whole thing out, turn it the whole way off, or turn it the whole way on. There's no reason to have a middle ground with this, since as things are now, anyone with half a brain realizes that black is the new red. Halfway is worse than either option.

I was a close second in the original topic. Teppo's posts in the newer topic were just ancient pics posted in the first one for the most part.

my rep is green i can change it if this rule was implemented to post in the FB if need be, i only derail and sometimes flame anyways not really a big loss to me

i'm guessing if this rule was implemented that means you can only change your rep once, if it wasn't then i could change from green to post then back to black

The no red dots on flameboard would be awesome, mainly just to get rid of hellstorm there.
