Lots of gay people play this game.Also items are harder to get if u don't have a lonely rich level 75 helping u .You know what i mean lol? Also mm fat housewives got nothing else to do so maybe they play all day and night while they feed their babie w/e.Enough explaination.

I think we dig the role playing stuff in general - and this game is pretty easy to get the hang of (then challenging as hell once you know what you are doing 
) and the fact that you are talking and working with real people makes it a social event. Girls dig storyline...I don't know a ton of women to play Mortal Kombat or Grand Theft Auto (though I am sure there are some hot chicks who dig on those as well). Video games are becoming more and more acceptable as a culture.
Plus when THE SIMS game out - girl gamers started popping out from everywhere...and realized that they enjoy gaming.
That is my take anyway. I actually started playing video games because my boyfriend enjoyed them so much. (though I was definitely an NES'er as a kid) We play FFXI because we got hooked on FFX, and decided that any game in the series was worth a try.

I would love to see your proof on this, but I'm sure there isn't any. The majority of players on the server are male, that's true, but there is a large female population. I know a number of female players, so try not to generalize like an idiot. With so much history behind it, I think people tend to trust jumping into it a little more than other MMORPG, male and females alike.
