More Rude Players ...

I can't believe this is my first flame and I've been playing this game for almost a year but here's my story ...

I get a /tel from a Hume Male named Marxima asking me if I'd like to party at Crawlers' Nest. I do a /sea all, he's rank 5 and a lvl 34 Nin/War so I figure with him being rank 5 and on an advanced job he more than likely knows the proper etiquette of a party situation, so I say "Sure, I'll come." He says they are in the Sac Room. I say kay and omw I go.

So, I get on a choco, zone into Rolanberry Fields, and send him a /tel saying I'm in Rolanberry. No answer. Well, I figure he's fighting so I keep on proceeding to the Nest. I zone in and send another /tel saying I'm in the Nest. Again, no answer. So I figure he's still fighting and I'll head on to the Sac Room. I get to the top of right before you jump down and send yet another /tel and say I'm right above him. AGAIN, no answer. By this time I'm like wtf? So I send a "?" and still he doesn't answer. Well now I'm ticked. So I proceed to tell him that I'll make sure and let all the people I know ingame and all of you here at qcdn.org know what a rude ass he is. So here I am writing the situation to y'all.

What is it with players these days? All he would've had to do was send a short tel saying he found someone in the Nest or whatever and I wouldn't be writing this. For him to blatantly let me come all the way there and not even acknowledge me was very rude and inconsiderate imho.

Am I wrong here? I would never think to do anything like this to another person ingame!!!!
 
I would of been pretty pissed off too.

Blah I just don't understand some peeps, is it that hard to be nice and considerate in a video game? I'm of the mind that if I wouldn't do it to you IRL why the heck would I do it to you in-game?

The worst thing that's happened to me along the same lines was getting invited into a group by somone that blacklisted me... He didn't recieve my replies... Is there some kind of warning you get when you Blist somone and talk to them?
 
I was right above them Phraust ... the puller pulled a crawler and he (Marxima) voked it ... he was there, no doubt in my mind ... btw Bogelcat was in the party also ... I think that person posts on this forum don't they? Not positive, but I know I know that name from somewhere ...

Bottom line is the guy was a jerk plain and simple ... all he had to do was tell me NOT to come, they had a replacement or send me a tel saying it'd be a few minutes while someone got their level, or whatever the situation may be ... Phraust, you've been in party situations with me on several occasions ... I'm very laid back and I never mind waiting yada yada, BUT let me know wth is goin' on ...
 
Yup, same situation happened to me yesterday. People in my party was wanting me to replace this person through tells from members of the party, so I get a whm on a choco only to have to send him back afterwards because we thought we had sort the problem out I felt so bad. I offerred to reimburse him for the choco ride. I don't know how people can't have a conscience about basic manners.
 
I guess people think If you can ignore the problem it will go away.

Not saying you shoulda been a dick, and been pissed off and sent shouts to the general populous.. But still..

Being laid back/more mature is a double edged sword when it comes to games like this. Unfortunately for my Linkshell no one experiences my wrath but them... I bitch and whine A LOT... But never to the people that deserve it.

God Knows I've been tempted to MPK People... But as fate has it.. the people I want to MPK generally do fine killing themselves on thier own...

I don't maybe I'm just having a bad day here, but I was just in Kazham with my ls ... we have our static every Monday nite and we are now at lvl 24 so, of course it's jungle time ...

We wait over an hour for one of our people to get home from work which is all well and good cuz crap does happen and rl (especially someones job) is more important than the virtual world. Anyway, we find the spot behind the guard/beastman flag where there's a fence and a small hill for the mages to stand. Now, granted there is this dead guy laying there but I think we've all seen that a time or two (someone goes afk and next thing you know you're dead when you come back), so we decide to make camp there. A few minutes later these people show up and say it's "their" camp and they've been there for over an hour and want us to move. Then this one guy, who shall remain nameless (you know who you are) starts sending me tel's saying firstly he knows I'm NOT an asshole and would I get my party to go. I'm like, screw you, sorry but I've just had enough today, with both rl crap and ingame crap, and so he starts calling me an asshole and saying something about "it must all be true about me on qcdn" yada yada. I'm like whatever, is this beat up on Kathi day or what? Needless to say Moadib's rl sister decided to pick our static time to go into labor so we figured we'd just call it for this week.

Next thing you know the jerk is sending me a tel saying, see I knew you'd see it my way and all that. I'm just like whatever dude, if you're that damn full of yourself believe what you want, but the truth is one of my ls members sister, etc. and he's a real asshole and says something about US camping on them and so forth.

All I have to say is I cannot believe how much this game has changed in the past year. When I first started playing and up until recently I truly loved this game. Now it seems like there are more fucktards than good people in this game anymore.

And to the person who was just giving me crap in Kazham, GROW UP!!! I realize you're only about 12 years old, but still GROW UP!!!

He said a ton more in tel's but I just tried to ignore it. I just don't have time for immature, bipolar children.

With all the above said, I think I'm done flaming for awhile. It really doesn't solve anything, but I am glad I vented for once, instead of just blowing stuff off :lol: .

Reason why I have semi left this game is because of this. I simply coudln't stand how many people lacking respect for the others. Although I am still comming in and out occasionaly, its really when I am helping my 2 friends do stuffs. Nothing more. I stopped completly leveling any kinds of jobs. Sorry to say 75% of the time I left a party with frustration and anger. The lack of lower level people trying to listen to advices, the elitist attitudes which I find on some people just because they are in a HNMLS they look people down, and other bunch of craps. Names is not needed to mention. Sooner or later some people will figure it out for themselves. About 90% of my good ingame friends has already left the game. If it was not for my LS trying to do new stuffs I would have been long gone.

The increase of new players are welcome, but the increase of moronic stupid pricks are not. And I see more and more assholes than good players these days. My friend also stopped pretty much leveling his bard during week days. He found a couple of good players but over all it was giving him a hard time. Now that a new LS member joined (RL friend), we are more focused on teaching him things. Whats good and whats not, and other stuffs.

People play this game for fun. But fun has alot of terms. In a group usually if you do what "YOU" think its fun will most likely turn into a catastrophy for others. Namely those sub job choices is one, not listening is one, not using food because you are poor is one, and many other reasons. Why should someone put more effort for the party to compensate the person who is doing what they please to make the party work?

Its not that it cannot be done really. My Whm, my Rdm both grew up mostly with many people Both JP and NA. Sure it was better on JP since they had more idea of what was going on. But I saw some efforts done amoung the NA community of trying to push to their limits to get a good exp rate. JPs aren't god. 1.5 years ago with my elvaan character, it was as bad as the newbies you find now. Respect towards others are a default common sence amoung the JP community even he or she is a bad player. (with exception of course...) Hell I was a complete newbie when i was playing my white mage. I died alot, trying to use benediction on inapropriate times just to get me killed was common. But over all the party worked, cooperation existed, effort of trying to make a skill chain work existed, Rdm just going to the back line and cast cure AT LEVEL 15~25 existed! Well enough of that... now its a completely different world. I hate going back to the dunes, even kororoka these days. I hate going to jungle, I despise going to crawler's nest when as soon as you enter you see a frigging helm beetle waiting to eat you.

I can simpathise and empathise even I too have a story about this person, I had just finished a party in boyoda tree then he sent me a tell asking me to come XP in king rapners tomb invites had been slow that day so I jumped on it stupidly! I warped to my home point in the gardens got a tele holla for 2 K and got on a choco and headed for rapners tomb I got into east rony and was not more than 3 steps from the entrence and he sent me a tell saying, oh our BLM came back and he wants back in, sorry. I asked him if he would at least pay for my tele and choco exspencies he told me to fuck off! I meen normaly I don't give a rip about 4K gil is gil and I can always get more but for gods sake waisting my time is what pissed me off, so I was stuck in country I hate so I wen't and crafted, and about half an hour later he sent me a tell asking me to come back cuz there BLM had to go. I told him where he could stick his invite, anyway that is my story about this person.
