Damn thats so awesome, why can't I do salvage! :S

the Qiqirn Treasure Hunter and Qiqirn Astrologer sucks -.- can't get them to drop Macha's Robe and Deimos's Chainmail ; ; We kill them in like 1-2 min, but they just refuse to drop >.<

In my opinion its better then a Dalmatica too....

And its nice to see it on a rdm first where it belongs.

Should be RDM > BLM > BLU on this piece but alot of blms, with all the body pieces available to them, seem to think it should go to blms first.

This piece seems to do a TON for a BLU...STR+8 /MND+8 is a dream piece for savage blade, ontop of being able to melee in it, giving INT and MND for debuffs...BLU is the only one that can actively make use of everything it has to offer.

Not only that, it also have auto refresh and attack +5, accuracy +5. Its pretty much a full-time piece for BLU's. The only body piece that might beat it effectively is BLU AF body for some spells. Question is if those +15 blue magic skill would beat the +8 STR. Homam Corazza and Morrigan Body are very close to eachother in terms of usefullness aswell, but in the long run, Morrigan Body will most likely beat it due to the auto refresh.

She has also another very good Neck piece, Phi Necklace :

HMP3
in salvage : enfeebling & healing skill +3

This drops from the last assault missions. This item is the best hMP necklace u can get i believe.

Yea, the attack+5 acc+5 is why I said it was a melee piece as well. Not my place to say what everyone's lotting rights should be, but it would take alot to convince me of denying a BLU first priority on this.

Nuhuh!! I can use it while meleeing on my rdm that'll make me like 10x more uber!!!

Umm back on topic.../drool.

You can just macro on the af body for any spell that would benefit from it more than +str.

I believe that Kyrial said that for acc+ to help head butt land you use the af body since at higher lvs it doesnt work as well without it.

So my guess af body= acc+ (not its only usefulness but intended purpose)

and morrigan for attack

blm have a lot of refresh items but with the +int and mab on it, it'd probrably go to a blm then rdm then blu

Well, the real questions is IF they would, and finding out which would. Blue Magic Skill affects the damage, similar to the weapon's damage in WS calculations, but each spell have a cap. Just like with WS's, STR is counted for all physical magic spells due to the STR <-> VIT difference between you and the mob, but some spells also have a STR mod, so its a hard choice.

Morrigan Body beats it hands down on STR spells during Chain Affinity, since the stat mods are doubled during this time. So Cannonball's STR_50 VIT_50 mod becomes STR_100 VIT_100 during Chain Affinity, and with Azure Lore, the TP mod will be set at 350% for all spells cast during that time, with chain affinity on. Azure Lore by itself also doubles the stat modifiers for all spells cast, not only those used during Chain Affinity. So during Azure Lore and Chain Affinity, Morrigan Body wins big time.

Not so sure on the magical spells, since their accuracy is based on your Blue Magic skill, but the damage is based purely on your level, stat correction, int and magic attack bonus. The same are true for these. Azure Lore increases the magic accuracy, doubles the stat modifiers, and the stat modifiers are also doubled during burst affinity. Question is if your Blue Magic skill is high enough without the AF body and merits to be able to rely on Morrigan's Body. Not that you use them all that much anyway.

So to be on the safe side, and due to my lazyness and not wanting to do indepth tests to see which would benefit from the skill more then the STR, I'd stick with Morrigan Body for everything but magical spells xD

Unless I'm really missing something, Morrigan's looks only marginally better then a weskit for nuking on blm. A good blm would macro in HMP set immediately after a Nuke as well, so the lack of refresh on weskit is insignificant. Now if the BLM in question had 4/5 pieces and were up against a BLU that was 4/5 for the entire set, I would tip the scales to the BLM, as the set bonus would make it an incredible addition for the BLM.

I can't see anyway of justification for a RDM to have priority over either of the other jobs. Dalmatica would be more beneficial to a RDM in most circumstances anyway.

This is FFXI so SOMEONE with too much time on their hands will do it for you, lol.

Naw, Dalmatica isn't really better then Morrigan. But if you're only going to use it for the Auto Refresh, you might aswell stick to Dalmatica, yes.

I would deffinently give Morrigan Pigaches to a RDM before both BLU and BLM, though. Morrigan Slops are tied between RDM and BLM, due to the +10 INT/MND on it.

From the looks of it, Morrigan combines two of red mage's best body pieces into one; Errant/Crimson scale mail and Dalmatica. As you said, Morrigan's is only marginally better for blm than what is cheaply and readily available, so there's no reason to give black mages priority unless it would complete their set.
