Mortal Kombat on the Wii

yeah I watched a video on techeblog about it, and I really wanna play it now. It looks awesome. I also have not played a mortal kombat since trilogy

wow you guys have missed out if you havent played since then, deadly alliance and armageddon are awesome, youll have to learn alot now with the 3d enviroments and the different fighting styles per character and weapons, Tho the wii controls look to make it way to easy compared to button combos....looks like something id have to try before i decided if it was good or not

well I did play deadly alliance, just not very extensively. Just while I was at a friends house or something. Very fun to play

last mortal kombat game i played was the one where you were subzero and you sidesrolled or something lol

That game was such a disappointment.

this game, like everything else I've seen on the wii, looks cool as hell.

u can download MK3 on xbox market place, tis fun its that or trilogy, dont remember which one it is, think its mk3 ultimate tho.

XBLA makes me want an xbox. =(

i tell you what, XBLA is addictive...much more addictive than i ever could have known.
Castlevania Symphony of the night is coming out soon and i have points all saved up for it!

yeh contra is ok, i just dont like the SNES version, i was hopin for the NES original, the graphics in this version just feel weird.
and isnt it funny the original code works lol, they just took out "start"

I heard about Doom with multiplayer on XBLA too. Not that I can't play it on my PC but it's cool that non-Nintendo consoles are bringing back the classics.

yeah i have doom with the online multiplayer, its...ok. Its odd tryin to shoot other players and only being able to face one straight direction and not be able to aim up or down, and the accuracy really really sucks online

I do believe it was called Subzero: Mythology. Was a fun game after you got used to the controls.

I've played all but armeggodon but I really like MK 1-3, ulitmate 3, and trilogy best. All those stances are neat but I just felt overwhelmed with combos and mixing them together. Plus I didn't like how they changed scorpians move button combinations (just a personal picky opinion). Its like I had to relearn playing him after all those years of playing him on the classics. Does look interesting on Wii though. I may have to give it a try.

Armageddon blows, but I won't deny that flinging around the wiimote and yelling "Get over here!" does sound like a ton of fun. For an hour or so anyway. Would be a good rental game unless your friends are MK fans.

I wonder if this is a hidden part of the game:

Turning Mortal Kombat in to side-scrolling Budokai Tenkaichi isn't a great idea imo =/

Sure, BT2 is fun. But the Multiplayer sucks due to easy combo/super move whoring. What fun is Mortal Kombat besides the Multiplayer?

By side-scrolling I mean that despite the fact that you can sidestep in to the fore/background in Mortal Kombat now, you're still fighting in a linear path.
