What about the epic-ness of it? Didn't Weaponslayer make a name for his charming personality by single-handedly fighting against the mpk efforts at a serket run?
And who doesn't want to invite a goblin to throw bombs at that idiot selling a scorpion claw for 5 mil in batallia? And don't you wish you could drag Vrtra over to that jerk in Port Jeuno bazaaring shihei at 5k /unit?
Way I see it, a day when you don't die in FFXI is a day you weren't playing hard enough. If a slow down in experience points really makes you feel bad, there's got to be a game better suited to your tastes. Time sink, {do you need it?} If not, please be patient with the high levels who are giddily dropping aggro mobs onto you; it's actually fun in disguise!
