I have spent years thinking it was called The boogeyman and was by disney thus making it hard to find, And by googling the only thing i could remember about the movie
"Old ghost movie with green footprints" i finally found the title, as soon as i saw the title it all came back.
I remember LOVING this like i said.
When they used the vacuum cleaner that shot foam balls to shoot at the ghost and stuff. I never knew there was a sequel either.
This movie has never made the transition to dvd and is rather hard to find, i found a torrent put up over a year ago that luckily is still got some seeds and has both movies, Not gonna be great quality buy i dont care.
David faustino AKA bud bundy played one of the kids in this movie, Gomez adams was the caped guy.

heres a good site with some info on it

i dont know why but i remember being creeped out by the good ghosts more than the bad just because of how they looked

i have a feeling once i see it again ill think it was lame like most things that i remember being cool (power rangers, thundercats, silverhawks, voltron)
but i hope it still holds its magic over time.

heres a peition to bring it to dvd!

I faintly remember a line from a movie, "Boogedy, boogedy, Boooo!" I remember nothing else of the movie, just that one stupid line.

My parents were against us watchins scary movies too, I remember my mom taking back a couple movies to the store the same day we got them because they "were satanic." They were "Ernest, Scared Stupid" and "Stay Tuned" (John Ritter sells his soul to Satan for a widescreen TV with 666 channels)

My mother has been recording everything she can back from the early 70's. The basement of my parents house is just lined with VHS tapes. Also 90% of the videos are recored off of First Choice/TMN/Family Channel and now off DVD, so they're commercial free.

I remember watching that movie back in the day, and I'll have to borrow that movie again, mostly just for the vacuum cleaner scene. Also OMG at the Little Monsters movie.

Here's one for you: http://www.retrojunk.com/details_movies/2274-munchie/

I love RetroJunk. I dl'd a bunch of opening themes from there including, but not limited to, You Can't Do That on Television, David the Gnome, and Inspector Gadget.
