Step it up SE. Seeking 1 job at a time, and potentially waiting hours upon hours for a lucky invite is what turns most people off to FFXI. From a coding and stress level, I personally dont think it would be all that hard to make a minor change, that would have a DRASTIC effect on the enjoyability of the game.

My solution doesnt seem all that hard to implement, and would be something as simple as adding 2 more "Seek" or "Solo" options on the Party menu.

Simply pick one of the 3 "Seek" buttons and a screen similar to the job selector menu in your Mog would appear, allowing you to select which job combination you would like to seek with. Repeat the process with the other 2 seek buttons, and bingo, you are now seeking on 3 jobs at once.

Now I can see it being confusing on a server with 3 different versions of the same person showing up in a /sea command, but if you can network tens of thousands of users at the same time, I think its well within their programming knowledge.

I'm sure something of this sort has been brought up before, but after over 3 years of time, something so minor that can help the game out so much needs to be given more thought.

Fair point. Another possibility would be to have it list people apposed to job (unless you searched for a certain job perhaps...) and then have a drop down bar or something listing their jobs and levels.

Of course this would drive most people to /anon.

Wouldn't they have to drastically increase inventory space for this to even work?

I mean it's a great idea, but... I hardly have enough room for PLD equipment, let alone PLD *and* WAR. >.>

Well most people set off from a town or city anyway, so i don't suppose that is an issue really.

I dont have a problem supporting 2 or 3 jobs at a time with full gear loadouts as is. 60 Inventory, 80 Safe and 50 Mog locker is enough for me. Even if you had to mule gear, I think people would wait the extra 5-10 minutes as opposed to waiting hours to find somebody who is only seeking 1 job at a time the way it is right now.

Meh, I forgot about locker =P But then again, you can't exactly lfp on your lv20-33 job in Al Zhabi and expect an invite. ><

Sure you can. There is a teleporter in Al Zhabi and Whitegate that will warp you to Jeuno or a zone directly outside Jeuno. All the zones warps outside of jeuno are very close to the zone line and take all of 20 seconds to run to the zone.

It makes more sense to me to have my HP in Al Zhabi then in Jeuno, and Ive set it there since Ive got the expansion. Same AH as Jeuno, mog locker, and with nearly instant access to return to jeuno vs the boat ride to get back to whitegate, I prefer it. The only downside would be waiting on an airship for the Jungles, but if you havent learned about alternative leveling spots to those hell holes by now, then I dont know what to tell you. :)

I think this is supposed to mean that people these job levels don't really know how to use the /sea all command. In which case you might as well not get invites from these people.

This function would pwn I have 74 rng and 56 pld gear and offen wiling to lvl either if I was able to seek as both jobs I could spend my game time much more productivly

Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

My god, I know what you mean. I couldn't even fathom fitting Warrior and Ninja equipment into the same category. I mean, jeeze, I have a hard time as it is with room for all my Ninja gear with 60 slots main inventory <.>;

i would love to have this feature within the game. i would have no prob waiting forsomeone to mule around gear because 9/10 times i would have to wait even longer for someone to start searching within the job range im wanting to party in. I know anytime im wanting to party im wanting to lvl more than one job and most of my jobs are pretty spread out as is

This would be a great idea, never thought of it. Sometimes on my day off I'm lfg for a long time on one job (and really wasting time) while i could've easily gotten an invite on another.

Unfortunately it seems SE goes by the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" on most of their updates. It doesn't seem like they're ever trying to make things a bit more convenient or unique than what they were already. Linkshell and chatmode systems are so plain. There are tons of things they can do to make it better, but the majority isn't really complaining about it, so it's not in their best interest to labor over it. Kudos to the OP on the idea though, it sure would be neat.

I honestly don't want to pt with people who can't use a /sea all command...

While I agree with this option, I also have gotten into parties just from marketing also. If noone is inviting my SAM I look up people that are in level range of other jobs that I have gear for and ask them if they need what I have to offer. It would be great though to seek as SAM WAR and NIN at the same time though. I give this idea a thumbs up. Btw I have 60 invo slots and 80 MH slots, but for some reason I still run out of areas for gear on my main. Ofcourse, I could get rid of the WHM gear, but then what good am I.
