I picked up a copy of the expansion for PC and for 360. Installed the PC copy last night, no problem. The files updated, no problem.

This morning, I'm trying to install the 360 version. WHen I go to "Content ID" & "Register ID", put in my ID and p/w and select WOTG as the expanded service to be registered, I see the following message:

Error
UCS-5534
This action cannot be performed because the selected expanded service has already been registered.

Leaves me with 2 options, back & exit....

If i choose either and then proceed forward as if to play the game, I get no update of files. The game loads up as normal, and then tells me that I need to install the expansion.

So...I'm not sure how to install the software since it doesn't want to let me, lol.

Anyone know anything about this, or has anyone installed multiple copies?

Thanks for any input. :)

That sucks :/ Should try slapping around the 360 and show it who's boss.

There is registration server maitanence today so that may be the problem. may have to wait for that to be finished.

GL man.

Why would you need to register the expansion twice? You should only need to register it once for your account, regardless of which system you play it on. I haven't used any of the consoles, so I might be missing something there.

Oh yeah, the maintainence. That could have something to do with it, but I dunno. The error seems like it should be different. Maintainence looks like it's over, so maybe that's it.
/crosses fingers.

Thanks for the heads-up. :)

Hmmm, that's not it...Unless they ran over their scheduled time to perform the mainainence. Gonna call them. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd appreciate the feedback. TY^^

Registration maintenance at the 1st of the month is always billing, it's not actually maintenance in the sense that they're fixing things.

Have you already installed WotG on the console? I also don't play on console, does it require you to register prior to installation? I can't imagine it would, how would one perform a clean install if it did? If you can, try installing and updating without registering.

The registration code allows you to access the WotG areas with your account, assuming the system has the expansion installed. Associating the registration code with your Content ID has nothing to do with installation (for PC, anyway; I'd be highly surprised to find out that consoles do it differently).

Don't register it again, just install it. Once your account has been registered once then you can play WotG on any system that has it installed. So just put in the xpac disc, install, login as normal, download updates, play.

Yep. The registration code is just for the *account*, and it only has to be done once. (If you have a second account, you can use the second registration code for that. Otherwise you can just sit on it until you find some clever use for it.)

What the game's complaining about is that you don't have the local *software* for WotG installed on your 360. So pop in the installation CD and run the installer. You *do* have to have the software installed for each and every copy of the game you have floating around (PS2, 360, PC, second PC, etc.) - but the registration code thing you only have to do once.

Ah I was kinda looking for this earlier and couldn't find it (never had to).
Till I went all the way back to the very first POL screen, I never saw an install option. From there it was easy as pie.

Thanks for the tips, gents.
Much appreciated. :)
