*Sniff* We miss you too Aly <3...I know your busy with school and stuffs but you should try and find a way to pop in every once and a while on VENT or sumthin ^^...speaking of school how goes it?

Probably already know about it, but it has opened up my eyes to a few new artists.

www.pandora.com

You put in an artist/song that you like, and it tries to match similar songs.

Well if you would like something for work or just relaxing at home, there are streaming radios availble.

But as of late, I have been checking out sky.fm. It's free for the most part and they do have additional services for commerical-free streaming music too. I like this site because it has a lot of variety of channels to choose from and no need to program a player or tort with mp3s to clean out later.

If you are looking for the mp3 format, I am sure you know where to look for that (itunes, music stores, etc).

To Aly: UVERworld. <3

Ded..thanks for the info, I have never heard of that site before  I will have to check it out later.

Ran, work tends to frown upon our ancient machines known as computers being used for things other than work...technically I shouldnt even be here right now hehe...so about the only I have is my Ipod to listen to at work or lolregular radio. I will deff. check out that online radio station when I get home though. ^^

Oracle, I listen to all types of music I really dont have a preferance and will listen to anything at least once :nyam:. Shoot I have everything from old stuff from the 50's and 60's to country, to a little rap on my Ipod right now.

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it!

The best part is, you can create your own "stations" and have it stream directly to your pc, completely free. It draws some weird conclusions sometimes (U2 = Fear Factory?) but it's pretty good most of the time.

You just make an account (free, just need email, no spam) and put in an artist you like. It then plays songs it thinks you will like, and you say yes or no to each song. If you say no, it thinks about why it played that song and won't do that anymore.

RJD2 and Aesop Rock are a few of my favorite.
I love RJD2, but I don't know aesop rock. I'll go check them out now.
edit: Aesop rock is okay, but I'm not a big fan o' the rap genre. Some of the breaks are nice, and the synth brass is good :3 but besides that... not my cup of tea ^^

Those are pretty good too.

Gravy Train - Hella Nervous and Sippin' 40oz

Ridiculously hilarious, unless you think absurdly sexually offensive things are not humerous.

Otherwise: Rap - Jurassic 5, Indy/alt - Built to Spill, Deathcab for Cutie, Pixies, Sonic Youth, MODEST MOUSE, Radiohead; Punk - The Clash, Pistols, Subhumans, Bad Brains, Dropkick Murphys, The Pogues, Velvet Underground, Operation Ivy; Synth - Freezepop, Her Space Holiday, Mum; Electric - Massive Attack.

If you want to listen to some good stuff, try a band called Propagandhi. Not really a lot of peoples cup of tea, but if you like it, you'll love it.

Otherwise try NoFx, Lagwagon, or The Living End. Almost every song they put on their albums could be singles.
