Well yeah, I listen to metal every day as well, I was just saying that it does help to allieviate aggression, at least with me, and I was wondering what other people listen to when they are angry ^_^
 
Whoa there, I wasn't saying it wasn't a band, I was just pointing out that it was also an Elton John song.
 
I went to that website, darklyrics, and I must say there are ALOT of gothis bands and stuff. Im not into that hardcore stuff and im sorry to say but most of the singers truly suck. I can barely understand what the hell they are saying and they seem to be just shouting. I dont know, dark metal/gothic or what ever its called <No thanks>.
I wsnt trying to start a flame or anything, im just saying I think that music sucks and I get angry listening to it lol.

I'm pretty much with whoever said they listen to metal everyday. After a while, "angry music" has lost all meaning to you.

But there are definately a few "Music To Be Angry By" bands that pretty much stay at a certain threashold if'n you need to be kept in that particular range for a while:

Nile
Hate Eternal
Suffocation
Meshuggah

Death metal is such an easy target.

ooooo this is where I would generally spout of a rant becuase At the Gates was an amazing metal band and ignornt people are incapable of getting past the vocal stylings of metal. But instead I'll leave it at this:

Music is about music, not vocals. I bet you think classical music sucks too because there's no vocals. And opera is probably shit because you can't understand what they're saying either.

If you don't like it, that's fine, but pleeeeeease do not say it "sucks" or it's "crap" just because you don't like the vocals. That is ignorant and intolerant. Do I like bluegrass? No, but I have hella respect for some bluegrass musicians. Do I like rap? Not really, no, but again, some rappers have earned deep respect from me because of what they can do.

For me I love Mexican music, which is almost always 50/50 vocals and music. Meaning the vocals are JUST as important as the music itself. It was wrong of me to think that everyone esle feels the same way as me. Im sorry.
Btw: I DO like classical music and operas, what I dont like about the music I mentioned was the "Horrible" (in MY opinion) singing. I sort of liked the music itself, but like I said, I like both vocals and music. But thats just me.

I have 2 angry Mexican bands for you:

Los Crudos... Great Mexican punk band from Chicago. One of my favorite punk bands of all time. They freely give away their songs on the Internet if you can find them.

Brujeria... Mexican metal!! Check them out! Funny too.
 
Death metal is blatant and hard for sure, but it just doesn't get me fired up as much as something that grooves more.

What do I mean?

Lamb of God
Slipknot
Certain Meshuggah moments
Acid Bath
Mars Volta
Pantera

People already mentioned much of this, etcetera...

It has to have at least some highs and lows for it to really get me going. Like any emotion, anger isn't just ones and zeros, on and off.
There are different ways angear affects you. Sometimes all out, non-stop, brutal death metal is what ya need. More often than not, I don't need that though. Maybe it's because I used to sleep to death metal for many years straight, but it just doesn't have the same effect any more. :lol:
I need something that has more substance, something that says and does more with less, and creates something with mood...Death metal doesn't slow down enough to create mood.
