Well since we have a devoted section to video games how about a section for music place it under the same category as The Lounge and RSI?

Well, this is a forum for a video game, so it'd be pretty stupid to not have a video game section.

Would there even be enough usage to warrant a separate forum? There's one or two large threads discussing music(one of them is anime music, which would probably stay in the anime section), but other than those there's hardly anything else.

I'm not saying that it's a bad idea, just that it doesn't really seem necessary since there's not a lot of music discussion anyways.

Bump on this. Did the Admind/Mod ever talk about the addition of this. I personally would be thrilled, being i engulf my life in music.

Idk, some of Dylan's stuff can get kinda emo, but it sounds like music so it doesn't count.

I think it's less about the musicians getting emotional and more about the emotions it evokes from you. If some dude is wailing about being lonely, that's pretty super emo.

There is also a very distinctive "emo" sound, which has been branded with such music.

I also don't listen to those bands. Fuck bands like hawthorn heights and shit like that. They are annoying. Also, From First to Last.

I call shenanigans on that. The promise of sex, or sexual activities, had to be involved as well for any straight man to warrant putting "his boys" through that torture.
 
I would support this.

I'd think we could muster up some discussion over the topic of.. all music. I mean, 'Movies and Television' sustains existance. You can't tell me either movies or television have had more of an impact on humanity, or even our day-to-day lives, than music.

The existing Music! thread is not one of discussion, it's one of 'What's playing right now,' and in turn, 'PC+1.' The threads I've seen in regards to music discussion and theory have seen success.

Aside from that, it can include discussion for those of us who actually play music.

I acknowledge this is a video game forum, but.. 'Movies and Television.'

One can be made when there is enough music threads in the Off-topic/RL section to warrant the need for one. The reason we have the sections like VG and Movies is because there were enough posts on other boards about them where having a separate forum for them was useful. You guys bitch enough when someone has 10 more pixels than they should in their sig, just think thatd be like an extra 50 pixels youd have to scroll on the main page (5 TIMES THE SUCKAGE!! /powerthirst). I have to scroll enough as it is to get down to the mod boards, and I dont want to have to scroll past another dead section, thats just a waste of my time.
 
Waste of time or not RaidrX...we still have to give the people what they want. I think I can see this forum culminating to something. Have at it folks, don't make me look bad here. ;)
