Saw Children of Bodom last night at House of Blues.

Watching Alexi play is better than being in a room with 10 virgins wanting to get laid for the first time.

Yeah that guy kicks major ass...Sick harmonized solos with the keyboard player, and neither of them even remotely sweating it. Just chatting with each other.

I never got into Bodom, but I keep hearing great things about them. Maybe I should check them out.

Their past two albums suck mucho cock, but then again I'm not fond of these former badasses from overseas who "americanize" their music for sales here. If you don't like old school thrash and black metal vocals steer clear but if you don't have limits their earlier stuff is amazing.

NP: Thyrfing - "Host"

[onions]

Not listening right this second but they are my favorite this week...

The Sword - Age of Winters

If you like Sleep (<3) then you'll like these guys.

The Sword is from good ol' Austin Tejas god they are fun to see and listen to. It's a pitty Sleep died for this new shit High on Fire has been doing.

NP: Katatonia - "Deliberation"

These guys are the single best example for waste of talent....Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström playing alternative/pop/rock is blasphemy. Don't get me wrong. The new stuff is good, especially the lyrics, but damn they don't play near as good as they did in the early Katatonia stage or the October Tide days.
