Parabol/Parabola - Tool

I just watched the "music video" for this song that I bought like...two months ago, and it is fucked, up. I don't even know if calling it a music video is appropriate, but whatever it is, it's awesome. This is the first Tool video I've ever seen (shame on me I know) but something tells me it's not the only one of it's kind. I can't imagine watching this on shrooms O_o you'd be trippin balls

And in response to the stuff I just saw: Mezmerize and Hypnotize were good, but not as good as Toxicity, Toxicity still takes the cake. I thought Steal This Album while still good, was their worst.
And Shyrra: What can I say, I just hate NIN. Probably cause 99% of their songs(at least all the ones I've heard) are pretty much computer generated, it's like they don't know how to play an instrument, and if they do they rarely pick it up. And the vocals...just sicken me, they have none. It's like the guy (whatever his name is) just whines throughout the whole song, he never actually sings. Personally I'm about two things: the guitar and the vocals, a band has to have excellent both, and NIN has neither.

I like the video for Schism, that ones awesome. Every music video by Tool is fucked up because they do them. Every music video just really puts in front of you what their singing in the song, Tool makes you think "wtf?".

I love that song Miryu. And yeah, Tool is awesome that way. I think Maynard and the drummer bother have degree's in...something like graphic design, that helps with the video making.

Yeah, I think they do. I know one of the 2 directs the videos, just can't remember which.

Granted, their instrumentals(I use that term loosely) are unique, and it's primarily percussion-type things.. but it's hardly all computer generated. That's like saying a DJ does nothing, because he's not playing a guitar, lol. It's just a different skillset.. and as for vocals.. Trent isn't the greatest singer, he doesn't have the range of Maynard... but wtf, whining? Riiiight.. NIN Is not whining by any means, lol. I don't see how you can be huge on vocals and be impressed by Disturbed. I love Disturbed, but their vocals are far from phenomonal, lol.
