That's really got nothing to do with it, just cause someone inspired someone else doesn't mean that person can't surpas the person that inspired them.

And why are we even argu'ing about it? I said Black Sabbath was awesome, cause they are. Personally, I just prefer Metallica over Black Sabbath. You can't really say one band is "better" than another when they're both that good because it's all just about personal taste.

Point being, without Sabbath there would be no Metallica, therefore Black Sabbath > Metallica, it's implied. None of this has to make sense, it's music D:
