Wonder if they'll have any songs from the new album on it. That'd be some tight shit.

Branding of the Gear - Dethklok (from the episode Dethmanagement)
Dunno, but every track from their new album will become available for download on GH3 on Sep 12th, the day the album hits the shelves.

Sightless - by Daath (fuckin love these guys)

The Day That Never Comes - by Metallica

Stop stealing my shit Sano.

I think this song is (fucking sick) better than anything Metallica has put out in the last 15 years. Thank God. The solo at the end made me shit my pants first time I heard it. Let's just hope the rest of the album is this good.

The end... is ok. It's not exactly awe inspiring solo. I've been listen to old school Metallica to properly prep for the new album (been a while since I was heavy into Metallica), and Kirk just cant hold it down like he used to. I realize theyre like 9000 years old at this point and been through some shit, but even so... (although I think Lars' horrible drumming annoys me more than anything)

I do love the first part though, definitely is a throw back to somewhere in between ...And Justice For All and The Black Album. I am pretty excited to see how the album is as a whole. I think everyone wants them to suddenly jump back into Master of Puppets style (myself included), but that just won't happen. They've changed stylistically and personally since the old days.

That's cuz Lars' uses Tama drums, which I think sound like garbage cans.

Battle Axe - Deftones

Or it could be he has no sense of timing? Plus he was never an amazing drummer, he was decent back in the day. Now he's just lazy. You could kill him, put a MIDI file in his place, and no one would ever know. Anything over like 120bpm and his style goes to hell.

Yeah, Metallica has always had a slower feel to it, right around 120bpm which is slow for metal.

Metronome fixes timing lol.

He's a drummer! lol Shouldn't need a metronome -.- And as for the 120bpm, listen to the first half of The Day That Never Comes, and his drumming is bearable. As soon as it goes faster he goes into this horrible, repetitive rhythm.

Drummers need a metronome more than anyone! I was a drummer for 4 years and I <3'd my metronome...it spoke to me...made me feel safe.

Well yea, setting a start beat is fine. But I remember an interview where Lars said he set his time off Hetfield and I was like "Wait... the drummer is setting time off... um.... wut?" If you can't keep a steady beat after the start, back away from the kit.

Every band I've ever been in (jazz, funk, rock, whatever) my biggest pet peeve would be drummers who couldn't keep a tempo. Drove me up a wall, lol.

lol that's fucking assbackwards. The guitarist sets time to the drummer, not the other way around.

Ravenous - Arch Enemy
(love the solo in it...damn you Chris Abott...damn you lol)

... actually that can work both ways. EDITED

If a guitarist starts with a random riff and takes "lead" a good drummer can often start a beat following the guitarist, and visa versa.

I have a crappy vid on my celly showing an awesome jam session I was in a couple weeks back where that exact thing happened.

Well yeah but that's a jam session. The point of drumming isn't just to look fancy and bang shit (hehe), its to help the others keep time. While its true it can work the other way around you just don't really see it much in mainstream music.

(still Ravenous) lol

I play jazz, of course I've jammed. lol

And I get what you're saying, but I'm talking more in the sense of an already written song/performing said song. Rather than improv.

It reminds me alot of One. Both of them were their first single off the album, both of them start off as a sort of ballad and then pick up on the last half of the song, both of them are anti-war tracks, both of them are track 4. There's alot of similarities.

I wish they'd make another Justice album personally.....best album ever fucking made in the history of music.
