those are the biggest, clunkiest nvg's ive ever seen. i cant imagine they are near as durable as a real set of nvg's(which are as durable as an egg). none the less, they are still nvg's. but, dont get your hopes up on a good pair. not unless this pack costs upward of 500$
if it is priced decent, ill get this

also, it says its available for preorder, has anyone seen that one listed anywhere?

Yes but wrong assumption. They already addressed this issue. The box art for the old stuff was done and ready to go, they still haven't slapped the new label on yet. It wasn't really a professional thing they did, just somethin' they, themselves, as fans through together for the community so not everything has to be perfect yet.

Confirmed. Asked a Gamestop employee about it today. 150 bones. They aren't accepting the preorder for it yet, but they've been given the price.
 
Watch, people are gonna eat that shit up, just like that Spartan helmet you couldn't even wear. At least that thing had some decor ability to it though.

Shit, I saw that helmet in a lot of hands the store I went to. Unless my store was a rarity, which I doubt, they probably made pretty good off it. As far as night vision goggles are concerned, yeah, they are cool and all, but if you want a pair of night vision goggles go to the army thrift store and spend 50-60 bucks. It's not like you're gonna use them for anything in the first place. Unless you're that dude who'll keep them beside your bed and when you wake up havin' to go to the bathroom you're like "F the lights, goggles GET!"

I toyed with some when I was a kiddo, maybe that's why I'm not so fascinated. I lived in a house with 4 acres of land that had to be bush hogged, from the sticks and thick weeds/vegetation. When my pops would do this, usually before sunrise or at night (to damn hot durin' the day), I'd pop on some night vision goggles and sit on the back of the tractor with my 4/10 pickin' off field mice as they ran out from their nest.
 
well i camped out for H3 and they were lined up around the block at my local gamestop, and i only saw like 3 people get the helmet edition. I wanted it because i have a nice game room with alot of gaming decorations and such lying around, i just couldnt afford it at the time.
But im not passing up on the goggles especially with that display head for em, I will use them though depending on how well they work and the distance you can view at, i cant imagine the IR range is going to be that great when not even my $2k HD Sony camcorder gets further than 30 feet without an illuminator.
When i ghost hunted in philly with some members of the ghost hunters show, they had some cool night vision head gear that even did full spectrum and they were really nice for an investigation like that.
 
UK has to pay $195 for Prestige Edition. What the FUCK?!

Edit: And it just came to me the absolute IRONY about this. Activision are bullying Sony into dropping the price of the PS3 while fucking increasing the price of their games here while using the excuse "The falling strength of the £" which is absolute fucking Bullshit. Absolute hypocrisy.
