MW2

third person is gonna suck. too much ability to manipulate the camera to see what you shouldnt be able to. if they do implement this. they need to keep it locked behind the player.

Naw, Socom is straight TPS and its bad fuckin ass, thats pretty sweet they are adding it to CoDMW2, add another angle to the game.

so is metal gear solid online....and it sux. too easy to see around corners. cheapens it

MGS Online is just a bad game in general, i dont think its the TPS lol. Socom is fine, as is Gears. Plus its gonna be its own game type online so its not like it will hurt the actual game, all they are doing is adding more gameplay to the game. If you think it sucks, dont play it lol, but I think it'll be sweet.

Edit: Can't find it now, activision took it off youtube, but the GP vid I saw I do believe it was locked behind you.

Leaked single player footage of an airport level.

It's gonna be a media shitstorm, but damn will it be awesome.

I look forward to seeing how FOX "handles" this "controversy", no doubt it'll be as hilariously stupid as the Mass Effect Alien side boob ;)

Popcorn time!

Edit: From watching the video though, I can see why some may find this offensive, but that's the thing, It's supposed to be offensive.

This scene is very much like the original MW's set piece at the beginning where you take the role of the leader and see his very last moments just before he's shot in the head, as well as the scene with the Nuke. This time however, it seems the player can sort of choose to either take part in this scene or just do nothing.

25 is rough lol... I think i have had about 20 kill streaks of 25 or more in CoD4. Just wouldnt be worth me equiping the perk for that nuke. I would try my hardest to see it at least once though.

ehh i really wouldn't liken that mission with those two scenes in MW, i mean honestly being able to actively kill innocent people in a shooter and having an interactive cut scene where you get shot in the head or blowed the fuck up isn't really comparible imo, i guess i can justify that with the logic that when you were blowed the fuck up you were a soldier and in the cutscene you got assassinated by a terrorist leader, somehow being a terrorist killing innocent people just doesnt seem to compare to those two idk call me crazy

It's not really an issue for people like you. It's simple, if you don't like it don't play it. For people like me, on the other hand, it may sell another few copies of the game for IW. I'm a BF fan over CoD but above all I'm a TPS fan, I'll at least rent it to check out the TPS gametype.

Having the option to use third person camera angles shouldn't make that huge a difference. It's like any perk, people get used to it, people become accoustomed to defending against those who use perks and it's no longer a perk rather just another tactic.

It sounds cool, I probably wouldn't use it other than on S&D matches when I'm the only one left standing against 3+. It would be another tactic is all.

Looks like they listen to their fans with that nuke streak, me and my friends have been saying since MW1 that it would be funny if they had a kill streak that set off a bomb and ended the match when you got a huge kill streak, never ever thought it would become a reality! though i can count on one hand how many times i got that big of a streak, My highest was in the 30's.

Oh and check out this fuckin nugget

Do you like to use the party chat option on your Xbox 360? Well, if you do, you may soon find yourself being forced out of using that option. Microsoft appears to be offering developers the option to negate the private chat option the Xbox 360 offers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will force players to decide whether or not they'll play the game and join the game chat, or choose to stay in a private chat and not play in the multiplayer game. The private chat feature became a way of telling other players of enemy locations after being killed.

This is just fucking STUPID. I party chat because i dont like hearing other players half the time, and if im in a party of just friends i have the freedom of talking about whatever i want while i play, private real life stuff that i dont want to be talking amongst random people about. No one wants to hear about your every day life story that doesnt know you. So what the fuck is the point of having party chat if games dont allow you to use it??! Especially a major title like this!?
I now have a reason to be pissed about this game.

I think that the ONLY game type this applies to, is s&D. So it should be the only type that doesn't let you party chat. I hate when I'm with friends and they suggest to party chat as an advantage over the other team. I don't like to win when I have an edge over the other team, its gay.

We totally gave instructions in s&d for the longest time, ever since they introduced the option.

Lately when I have played I've stuck to the lobby, I found it a pain when we had players who were not part of our party, we still need the communication of regular lobby chat.

Plus I couldn't tell you how many times I would get REALLY pissed at the friends in my party when they'd give me confusing directions etc.

Long & Short - I'm not going to worry too much about not having the option during CoD game play. As long as they don't 86 it all together.

E- HOWEVER THAT BEING SAID, there is nooo fucking difference if they're going to bother introducing third party cameras, that WOULD be silly honestly.

I think pulling party chat during multiplayer was a terrible decision. IW has now taken MW2 away from my "need something to kill time while talking to friends" space. Too many times have i just thrown in CoD4 while in a party of people playing totally different games. They have now killed that experience. Bad idea.

True true true, even though both you and Chasym mentioned this I didn't really think about it.

That would suck, btw Osi you have said to me before you really only play CoD with friends and very rarely play it solo online. I do however play solo (not that it lasts long as many will switch up and jump in with me), when I play solo though I often try to stay in the lobby chat, at least until some young mouth pieces irritate the living shit out of me.

Icewolf, your idea would be best, disabled PT chat function during certain match types. Bah.
