There's gonna be an easy 400+ plus outside of my Gamestop, but I'm taking the role of crowd control. And yeah, i'm gonna be wearing my nightvision goggles the entire time. It'll be awesome.
 
Hmm I need to really upgrade my PS3's harddrive :P running outta space. Like 10 gigs left outta the 60 (really only 55 or so free since I think 5 is for the firmware and such). That way if I do get this for Christmas from my brother I can have space

No surprises here. Germany censored that scene. Shoot someone? GAME FUCKING OVER!!!

That kind of kills the point of what the scene represents (in a narrative form imho) and it doesn't exactly reward players for killing civilians anyway.
 
I work at The Bay and that's part of the Zellers chain. For People outside of Canada The Bay is like a Sears. I have a $50 gift card with HBC plus my staff 10% discount so I'll pay a total of $21 which is a total score.

Picked up my MW2 360 today at FYE. They just straight sold it to me. I need to go cancel my pre order at Gamestop at some point.

So far i am impressed by the level of improvement. The game is literaly better at everything. Wow.

i hate your face, i still have to wait 1 day, 3 hours, 13 minutes and 49 seconds till mine ships to me (yes i have a timer on both my phone and my computer don't judge me)

Yeah, Gamestop lifted the street date in a lot of the northern areas because enough high end retailers got ownd and whined. Mah and Pah stores started breakin' street date like nobodies business in order to make more bucks than Gamestop. When GS breaks in mass everyone should follow. Subsequently, it's gettin' nasty here too. Every game store I passed this weekend had huge signs posted that read to some extent, "NOW SELLING CoD: MW 2!"

Lucky fucker, no one in MN is breaking street date it seems like, shit is pretty whack. I'd really rather not go to the midnight, so maybe i can find somewhere to pick it up tomorrow.
 
Finished the campaign last night. The game was 6-7 hours long on Hardened difficulty. That being said this was the best 6 hours of FPS i have had the pleasure of destroying. The campaign is beyond action packed.. Some could argue its a little too much like a Michael Bay movie or something. I think it was awesome.
 
I got at Amazon, they're giving me a 20 dollar gift card with it. Considering it's only like my 6th most anticipated game this year, it's no big deal to wait. I'm actually a little annoyed all my friends are going to move to MW2 when I'm still having a shitload of fun on Uncharted 2.

Ok, some more flak was heading MW2's way in the UK thanks to epic moron MP Keith Vaz, however, his plan to decry the game backfired due a Pro Gamer Politician who's willing to take Gamers seriously!!!

Watson defends games industry in Commons debate

Tom Watson, Labour MP for West Bromwich East, has defended the UK games industry this afternoon, urging the government to focus on the strength of the industry rather than its poor media profile.

Watson was countering questions from Labour's Keith Vaz, who used the release of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to reignite the age-ratings debate and ask the government what steps it was taking to ensure 18-rating games aren't sold to minors.

"Is the Minister aware that at midnight tonight a new and violent videogame called Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is to be released?" Vaz asked Sion Simon, Culture Media and Sport Minister. "It contains such scenes of brutality that even the manufacturers have put in warnings within the game telling people how they can skip particular scenes."

"Given the recommendations of the Byron Review, specifically paragraphs 32 and 33, what steps is the government proposing to take in order to ensure these violent games do not fall into the hands of children and young people? It’s not about censorship, it’s about protecting our children," added Vaz.

Simon repeated the Byron Review's recommendation of clearly labelling adult-rated games, adding: "This game the hon. gentleman refers to is a certificate 18 game, it should not be sold to children and the government's job is to make sure that adults, clearly labelled, can get what adults should be able to, and that children are not in danger of being subjected to adult content."

Taking a dig at Vaz's negative comments in today's Daily Mail about Modern Warfare 2, Watson said it was more important to support the industry rather than help "create moral panic" with the media.

"I’ve seen the content in this videogame, it is unpleasant, though no worse than in many films and books, it is an 18-plus game and carries the BBFC 18-plus rating as well," offered Watson.

"Does the Minister agree that it would be better for this House to support the many thousands of games designers and coders and the many millions of games users, rather than collaborating with the Daily Mail to create moral panic over the use of videogames?"

Watson set up a pressure group this morning – Gamers' Voice – to represent gamers in the UK, which already has over 400 members.

Just called my Gamestop to see how it was lookin.....its 430pst and theres alrdy a line of 100+ lol. I was gonna go at midnight, but its like 25 mins away from home, dude said i could expect to get back home by like 230am i think i can wait till 10am tommorow lol

Wow fail lol. I just went up there to pay mine off, and there was maybe 20 people standin there. Thing I dont get is, with there pre pay system, where you just go in show the receipt and get your copy, they can get like a couple hundred people done a min. I think i was in line for Gears 2 and halo 3 for 15 mins tops, if that. And I showed up at like 1150, which I will be doin again tonight. See you online in 2 hours whoever else is getting it tonight or has it.
