i dropped my first nuke the other night, using that set up. Harriers, Chopper gunner, Nuke. It is a sacrifice to set it up so high if your not that great, But i never seem to have a problem getting that 7 streak, it just seems that right when i get it, i die just after or they blow my harrier out of the sky before it gets a kill or even has a chance to appear. That or i get one away from the gunner and die.
Either way, it does make it easier.
I don't even run with the nuke but one of my buddies does sometimes and that is his set-up when he does. Hell, he dropped 3 last night in the span of 7 games. I prefer to run Predator, Harriers, and Pave Low. That's more win than a nuke in my book. I was playin' a Demo match today and stocked up, I had 2 harriers and 2 Pave Lows. I was saving them for my teams offensive run ;D That shit was dirty, dirty.
My ratio is currently at 1.60, but it does seem to drop even when i go positive. Which is just about EVERY game. That just doesnt make sense. I went negative one game last night and dropped to a 1.59, Then after 4 games of going positive, i went back up to a 1.60, but i only went negative 2 in that one game, and positive 10+ every game after, that system confuses me.
It's not as confusing as you think, you're just not thinkin' about it properly. Your K/D ratio is built off of your -total- kills. To satisfy a 1.60 your -total- kills, when pooled, has to remain at 1.60 when your kills are divided by your deaths. That's all there is to it.
Goin' positive by 10+ kills doesn't always keep you at 1.60. Even if you went +10 EVERY round. If you go 30/20 that is 1.50 which is a steep decrease in your average if you had a 1.60. The only time going +10 would benefit a 1.60 is when your number of -kills- is LOWER than 26. If you get more than 26 kills you'd have to go more than 10 kills over deaths to remain at 1.60.
So just to give an example, if you went 55 and 45 your K/D ratio would be 1.2222~. In regards to your total kill pool, depending on which edge you are closer to, up or down, it may go up, down, or not change at all in number value presented on the leaderboards. If your ratio doesn't change, it brings you close to either going up or down, in your case, at 1.6 you'd be closer to going down if it didn't send you down. If you got 55 kills, in order to keep a 1.60 ratio safe, the most amount of deaths you could have is 34.
Contrary to what Icewolf said earlier, the more and more your kills and deaths grow, the less likely they are to fluctuate. If you went from 1.6 to 1.55 when your kills reach the 10k range, you're just awful. While going from 1.6 to 1.55 while in the 1k range is just a bad game or two.
I'm tryin' really hard to get up to a 2.0. I'm currently at 1.99 but on the side closer to .98. The reason I say "tryin' really hard" is because I want a 2.0 but I'm not campin' for it. I play 3rd Person Team Tactical and I'm a team player so it's actually quite hard, for me at least, to get a 2.0 while TactInsert rushin' a lit box in Demolition or actin' as a bullet sponge for a Flag Carrier.
