My Account Was Stolen

My Character was stolen by the player Ants and his supposed brother Darksean although i cannot confirm darksean's involvement in this plot.
My characters name was Ascar.
He recieved my Pol ID by accident a while back but didnt have my password.
Hey then learned the name of my daughter and tryed it as my passcode and scored my account and changed the pass and refuses to give it back.
Please feel free to spit in Ant's Darksean's(thats who ants says his brother is)
or Ascar's face whenever ya see them, and try not invite them for parties ect. make an example out of these actions.
This is a sad day indeed , thank you for reading my blog, hope this never happens to you!

That someday people will stop being so stupid as to give other people their account info.
 
sounds to me that it wasn't stolen, but given.
 
How is it that Ants is the one who magically gets all these accounts?
Really sorry to hear it happened...unfortunately, there's not really anything we can do. =/

Though, shouting in Jeuno saying your account, (insertIDhere) was stolen and to tell people to feel free to raid it doesn't exactly seem like the best idea. Could just contact POL and get a password reset or something rather than begging the server to hack you and hope whomever manages to get in is nice enough to fix your password for you.
 
Ants is a notorious piece of trash, are his buddies. I suggest heavy griefing personally and will assuradly rape the exp of any PT I ever see them in. ~.^

Plus please read what he said.. he got his PoL ID (perhaps through MT or soome other error) and guessed his pass. I once guessed a friend's pass(and immediately told them their pass was too simple and to change it) using personal info as a pass is highly dangerous.

Doesn't that alone say that he's being too open with his login info, though? I mean if he MTed the login to Ants, he was gonna tell SOMEONE his login. =/

I have people's info.. it's all about close friendships, generally people you can walk over and ktfo.. maybe he was giving it to a goodrl friend or something.

Over 75% of hacked accounts mentioned on QCDN are because of people giving logins to assumed good friends, RL or not. =P
 
Well anyone that loses their account to someone RL is a wimp :P Should head on over for a nice visit.

And yeah, prolly about 20% of the community is villianous scum... so NEVER take the chance.. anyhow! ON TOPIC!

wasn't ascar someone else's character anyways before? and the original sold it? or was that another as--- name or something

In our linkshell almost everyone has
access to atleast 1 or 2 other players accounts...
It's all about who you trust guys. :jester:
 
What was the POLID with this acct? Could it be brute-forced perhaps? I saw your shout in Jeuno yesterday, and I feel for ya.

Change the bold phrase to given my PoL ID, and the word to most definetly did and this story becomes far closer to the truth.

so yea this dudes a liar. i know nobody here likes me but ill tell you what really happend.
he sent me a tell and asked if i knew anyone that wanted to pl clothcrafting because he would just sell the unwanted account with 90(+2)cc. i asked how much and he said 14mil so i said ok. i told him i didnt have the money now i just wanted to check the account out so he GAVE me his password and id.

Now before you start flaming, if you were going to trade your noble's tunic for 6mil and you put it in the trade window but the guy tells you he cant pay you now, and you still give it to him, thats not stealing. that was your mistake you gave the item, in this case he gave the account info. i love the story he came up with though.
 
So he gave you his info so you could verify the craft level, and you have changed the info so he can't have the account back, is that correct?

Would be pretty funny if like the OP were a maniac and managed to trace Ants, and like just go over, carrying a baseball bat, put on some ripped overcoat, go over in a fucking rainy day, and just knock on the door...

Amazing how TV can influence the way you post eh?
