I bought a kitten a couple of months ago because the family cat we had went to live with my sister when I moved out. Someone was selling kittens from a box at a weekend market and so I took her home and named her Elizabeth Taylor.

So, this morning I was up early partying on my RDM with some friends. I logged and thought to sleep for a few hours before work but she was breathing oddly and didn't want to eat so I got scared and took her to the vet. They said it was probably just a viral thing, and that they could take care of her while I was away and call me in the evening to let me know. So I went to work feeling very relieved.

The vet-lady called me just now to tell me that she had had a heart murmur and apparently this caused some complications and she died. I don't think she was even three months old yet :(

Aww >.<

That's so sad D:

I'm a big cat-person........so it sucks to hear this.

I've lost some really cool cats, too.

Loki, when he was about 2 years old, fell off our house (he was clumsy, but it made him adorable <3) And not even a year later, Eddy, who I loved sooooo much, ended up having some sort of feline virus, I forgot it's name. It was devastating watching what it was doing to him, so slowly >.< He looked fat, but would feel much lighter than usual, he hardly ate, he could barely balance...we took him to the vet, and they said he only had days left D: We kept him a while longer to say goodbye, and by then he can barely move >.< I can hardly even think about it D:

I wear their collars as bracelets ^^ I loved those cats.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat D: (and sorry to spew out my cat story, lol) At least you, tried, right? There was nothing else you can do.

Be careful where you get cats, too =/ Like from crowded shelters, its way more likely they'll get something fatal, or if they were handfed, (Mother's milk gives them some immunities...that was the problem with Eddy)

=( Losing pets hurts, I know how you feel, they become very close family members in a very short amount of time and it hurts if they die. =(

Sorry to hear it, man. I took in a cat a few years ago after my neighbor's daughter had a baby and didn't feel she could keep her anymore, even though I'd always been far more of a dog person before. Now I can't imagine what my day would be like if Snickerdoodle didn't greet me at the door by rolling around on the floor every afternoon after I get home from work. I've lost pets before and I'll lose her eventually, but it's always hard and I try not to think about it. But I'll always have a pet around. They're quite a comfort and often more tolerable than my actual relatives.

This is where you went... ; ;

I'm drunkenstein on LS right now poking at Mielle wondering where you are and what happened.

You're usually on right now playing being MPK'ed by Holina or Mie but nowhere to be found tonight.

My little lufferly pet Lukas and Royal Footrest. <33

I'm going to sleep soon man, but you, Xalo and a couple others are why I'm still here on Quetzy. =/

Really make me feel a welcome part of the Pimps night crew and in general, you've made a friend in me back then like it or not.

You come my way and I'll be here to chat or just sit and listen or tell you my array of bad jokes. ; ;

My heart goes out to you and your dear friend.

<33 Big hugs my little Lukiepookie.

Sorry to hear about your kitty. ;_; losing a pet always sucks, especially when they are that young. =/

Aww...had no idea till I just stumbled on this. I'm so sorry. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had a dainty and very feminine cat named Kahlua. I've always been a cat person but to this day she's my favorite. She would climb up me (she was very petite and light) and sit on my shoulder sometimes as I walked around the house. Even came up and ate corn off the cob with me once (I have a pic somewhere). She followed me around like a puppy.

Well one night she was chasing a moth and jumped up on an end table. On the end table there was a lamp, a cactus plant and a liquid potpourri burner (it wasn't on). She jumped up to get the moth and after she came down I saw her shake her paw several times. I thought she'd maybe come down on the cactus so I picked her up to check and her paw was wet. She'd apparently stuck her paw in the liquid potpourri. I immediately took her into the bathroom and washed her paw. (She didn't have time to lick it or anything).

The next day I noticed she hadn't come down from the attic (she used to go up there to sleep sometimes). I got really worried and called my husband. He told me under no circumstances was I to climb the ladder (I was due in 2 weeks) and that he'd be home as soon as he wrapped up what he could at work. About 30 minutes later she came into the living room and I could tell instantly something was wrong. Her tongue was sticking out and looked somewhat swollen. I freaked...called my husband and he said he was on his way home. I couldn't wait. Wrapped her up in a towel and held her in my lap and drove to the emergency vet. The vet took a look at her while I was there and said she had a high temp...they were gonna put her on intravenous. The vet said they'd keep an eye on her overnight but made it seem as if she was going to be ok. 2 hours later the phone rang..it was the vet's office saying that she had passed away =( To this day I miss her.

i wont even go into my cat story :| sorry hear bout your cat el :(

; ; I have two kittens, one is 7 months and the other is almost 3 months. We haven't had them long, but I can't imagine not having either of my crazy kitties around.

When I was younger I had a maine coon mix named Jasper. We had him for years and then he started developing this mass on the back of his neck. My parents took him to the vet and found out that it was cancer and it was too developed to do surgery so my parents had him put down. I miss that cat so much ; ;

Sad thread is heart wrenching ;_;. I miss my doggy, she died 3 days before my highschool graduation and helping pick her out is one of my earliest memories.

It is sad, but I was happy for her in a way. She was 15 years old, so she did good for herself =).

i'm sorry to hear about your cat... loosing pets is hard, and not much can make you feel better... i remember when i lost my dog on Christmas day, i was pretty much devastated (i think i left the house and just crashed at a friends house (he was jewish, so it was all good, lol))

but keep your chin up, you'll get through it
