My Crazy Saturday and inacurate info on ffxi somepage

I was doing the Magicite Missions to reach Rank 5 over the weekend. I was partying w/ a lvl 72 SMN. I went to speak with the NPC at the front desk in the Bastok Embassy in R. Garden in Jeuno and I couldn't get the mission to activate I'd try to go in and try to speak with the Ambassador but it would say area was Restricted. I checked Ffxi Somepage and it says Starting NPC: Any Bastok Mission Starter (Which I found out later was wrong) so I had my friend give me a Tele to the Highlands and rode chocbo to Bastok...I traded about 6 or so stacks of crystals then went to try and activate the mission and it didn't work...Then I proceeded to switch to a lvl 1 job to blood warp back to Jeuno but accidentally reset Home Point in Bastok Markets by accident so I ended up having to take a Chocobo back to Jeuno...By that time my helper got an experience party and disbanded.... Later I went back to the Bastok Embasy and was able to activate the mission...What went wrong? Was it because I was partied w/a High lvl?

When you flag the mission in jeuno, you still need the Rank points. So when you traded the crystals to the guard in bastok, it gave you the necessary Rank points to flag the mission in jeuno. That's why

Oh I see and I was thinking it was because I had a high lvl partied w/me when I tred to flag the mission. Thanks I will remember this for future missions..

You know...all of those nice guards standing at the gates of jeuno (the ones which give you signet anyway) can take those crystals off your hands for you...

Saves the trip to bastok.

ya biggest thing people forget that it wont give you next mission till you trade crystals to gate guard. so always double check name of mission before excepting:wink:

Thanks for offering Nayla I appreciate it... Max I'm on EST time I'll prolly be on around 8 or 9am I already have all the key Items I need the 2 from the guy in the Tensohdo and the Davoi Crest so all we have to go and get the 3 Magisites
