Ok now lets say u have 18 people all gathered for an event. Everyone has been waiting hours for a certain HNm to pop and there is lots of competition there. Now a few minor mistakes have been made(aggro and a misvoke), but all in all everyone is having a good time. Then because some high and mighty smn named Svina feels he is just too good for people who make a mistake decides to ditch everyone. Is this wrong? Hell yeah it is. Thanks for listening

ps. Ultra i never would have made this post if it wasnt for you so thanks for the spur :D

All else fails blame Ultra... Hes like Canada or something....\

I was having a bad day man, I'll talk to you later

Ditching on an alliance is not a good thing jts like 2 days ago, mt friend was camping amemat and the pld decided to leave when the spawn was close so as friend, she /tell me to come to kuftal and be tank for it so i did. When i reached there, it was chaos, almost ran into a horde of crabs at zone entrance and 2 ppl from the party died cause amemet spawned before i could go to kuftal in time. Now you tell me, is my friend gonna invite that 1st pld to kill amemet again. Answer is "HELL NO".

Bottom line remains, if you wanna stay in alliance for a NM fight or mission or whatever, please stay till eveyone leaves OR if you have an emergency then please /tell everyone in alliance what you need to leave. I dun like ppl just saying 'I need to go, have stuffs to do" and logged. Remember we are playing with REAL ppl behind those characters, regardless of whether you have RL emergency or whatever, when in a party or alliance, please at least give a /tell inside alliance ot to someone you know in alliance why you need to take leave.

Sadly, that leaves open the gates of Hell. What is anyone's right to peer into my life in order to judge if I have set my priorities straight? To you, me having to plow snow out of the entryway might seem like I'm just looking for an excuse. To me, it's extremely important, because I have a father who's so stubborn he doesn't wait on me to do the job and could be working himself into a stroke if I don't get my ass off my chair.

And what if my brother had a car accident? Even if no one gets hurt, he very much might call on me to pick him up. I'm sure if I relate that event to whatever group I joined, some will be selfish and tell me to let my brother take a cab. How would I tell him that? "Sorry bro, but there are 5 strangers who tell me that it's more important that I stick with them than help you out?"

Inquiring about the reasons someone leaves is opening a courtroom where the "offender" is tried by the standards of 5 people who aren't faced with the same emergency at the time. It's always easier to call people assholes for leaving a perfectly working party or alliance when you're not faced with the situation. While there are people behind most PCs in FFXI, there are even more people, just as real, needing me in the real world. If I can put whatever comes up on hold, I will. If I can't, I'll leave. Simple as that.

Okay look at it this way. Try overpaying on materials for the guild item only to have them break 3 times in a row, trying to craft for money only to lose a million in the process, dying in Davoi because some idiot trained a bunch of high con orcs to the zone just as you enter, then going to camp an HNM, which requires a lot of teamwork, focus, whatever. By this time you'd want to WIN, right? Well try focusing when every 5 seconds someone aggros a mob... and eventually someone vokes a very tough linking mob, not one, but try four or five of them, and watch your entire party go down before the stupid HNM even pops while your rivals are watching your display of noobery, and THEN running a 10 hour promyvion marathon that other than the delays goes okay, but is nerve racking nonetheless.

It was the worst day I've had in a long time. I apologized for it, I guess that wasn't enough. Wee.

wow flaruwaru, you sure took that comment to seriously. See, Svina gave his reasons why he left. All we ask for is a explaination like last 2 times 2 ppl left in a party, reason is that g/f car broke down and he had to logout and pick her up and get a tow truck to tow his g/f car to the wotkshop. It's a simple as that. Hell if anyone in my family or friends got an accident and i'm in the middle of an HNM or party, by hell i will tell them then logout immediately. I dun want to be /blisted and called names when i leave without and goddam explaination.

Sorry Teng, it's just I've once been harrassed to stay in a party for having to help my dad mow the lawn once. It just wasn't "good enough an excuse."
