Well I was hopping out of the shower today when I slipped and smaked my head on the towel rack  and anyways it left a bit of a cut and I patched it up with some gauss and medi tape but it seems it wont stop bleeding... I dont think its too bad to go see a doc about but what could I do to at least make it stop?

Put lots of pressure on it, just hold the gause in place with your hand for 10-20minutes, it should stop.

Open it up and squeeze a lemon into the wound, then grind Rock Salt into it.

I can assure you will think twice about slipping and having an accident ever again...

Honestly, I live by this Rule:

If you don't feel it right away when you hurt yourself, then you might have really fucked up.

But keep in mind head wounds really bleed alot.
But is you nuked your noggin and didn't feel it after you were already covered in blood you might have an issue.

Lol I remember my dad talking to me when i was 8 or 9 and he said "If you ever wanna end a fight quickly, make them bleed from the head, people will break it up and they'll just keep bleeding for a while".

So

Towel rack : 1
Daroth : 0

depends on how bad it is bleeding. Of course common sense would tell us to go to the hospital if blood is gushing out of your head but in your case it is different. I don't know why I am repeating this.....just do what Devi said and put as much pressure on it as possible. Don't forget to apply ice to facilitate the blood condensing into a scab (blood clot) and to reduce swelling.

Even if it does stop bleeding and you feel fine....it may be a good idea to consult a doctor JUST incase the swelling doesn't stop after a couple of days. Swelling is just the way that your body "reminds you" that some sort of ailment is present in your body and that you need to be careful with it by making your blood vessels more "porous" when they start releasing alot of blood in response to a gash or wound. Basically, if it stops bleeding (it clots) and the swelling reduces....you're fine. If the swelling doesn't recede....consult a doctor to see if you sustained any internal injuries.

OH btw.....how embarrasing Daroth you are 0/1 with the towelrack....lol use [Flee] next time (^^;)

how long has it been bleeding?

I hate to be a stickler but.....yes it is normal to feel a shock of pain after experiencing trauma (hit against a towelrack, surgury, breaking of a bone, etc) but please know that usually either a few moments after the trauma to about 10 minutes after.....a fluid is released throughout your body that is similar to morphine. This nulls the pain for anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours.

That is why when some people break a bone, then get up and feel fine....but then later in the day they start feeling horrible pain. That is why some people wake up from surgury feeling OK, then become overwhelmed by pain (my mom had a minor surgury, was brought home and she immediately started cleaning, cooking, etc. An hour after that she was in horrible pain and very tired *bedtime!*)

I'm not sure why I'm pouring my heart and soul into this thread....hmm :/

That must have hurt alot. If it was me and the bleeding doesn't stop, i would go see a doctor immediately, as it may be something else that's causing non-stop bleed. Normally it should clot after a few minutes, but it it doesn't it's a nono and you SHOULD go see a doctor.

Thanks for the advice lol I came back to the post too late cause I was busy at the DR getting stiches in my forhead lol cause my mom came home and freaked out when she seen her white bath towel covered in blood.
