Now, my friend Carl does not play this game or even read the board. He's not a gamer in any way, shape, or form, but I would like to post this anyways.

Over a year ago while being in the hospital I met another C.F named Carl. He was 23 and on the Lung Transplant list. Well, when I came into the hospital yesterday he had just gotten his Transplant on Monday. He's in recovery right now and I won't be able to see him for some time due to germs and what not.

He has survived the thing that I have assumed would be a C.F's deathbed. He has given me hope and now I see the future as a less grim and shitty existence. The last C.F I knew died during his and I took it badly. After that I was scared to get sick cause it would mean I was closer to death. Thanks to Carl being lucky and brave he has given me hope and I have never been more happier for someone.

He has lead a terrible life with his parents dying when he was young and being forced to leave in bumblefuck nowhere living off 600 dollars a month. He now has a chance at a normal life and hopefully he will take this chance to live a happy and meaningful life.

Congrats, Carl. You are one hell of a guy and you finally have a chance to happy. Enjoy learning to breath again, lol.

I'm glad to hear Carl's transplant was successful and you're being optimistic about the future. :) We all know you'll be just fine.

Good to hear.

Stay strong. Hopefully I'll get to see your lolYYR again someday. ^_~

Glad to hear he's doing better - transplants are never an easy thing.

Good for Carl and good for you. Stay strong like you are now.

I have a question about this transplant surgery. Is this the big hump for a C.F. patient in their lives? When it does go successfully and everything is done with, I know the C.F. doesn't go away but is everything in the clear for the rest of your life?

It varies for every C.F and how the body takes to the lungs.

I'm glad to hear you have a new hope with things. I hope you eventually get one and things turn around for you and everything. I <3 you and I can't wait to see you again at Otakon.

Good to see a new light of Hope Myrrh!

Otakon 2010 buddy!
You shall be there because I want to greet you in person!

Great to see that something lifted your hopes that high ^^

I -know- you'll pull through when your own time comes, I'm certain of it<3

I'm glad to hear that your friend is doing well after the transplant and I hope that he continues to get better. I am glad that he has given you some hope. I really do hope that you get the chance to get a lung transplant and that you keep taking care of yourself. *huggles*
